  1. i fish solo but can never take good pictures obviously of the fish i catch. looking to see if anyone built a tripod type system for their boat. .i know lowbudget hooker did make a mount. some help would be nice. thanks. t
  2. man thats a nice fish. for weight i cant tell and i think the only who can is you. it looks really long though. 24 inches? wozer
  3. im not sure how i feel about this. i like to hook a fish and not be aware of how big it is. but i do like to fly fish by site fishing. it is also really challenging to sight fish. considering that you need a high sun and clear water you have good chances of spooking fish. so id say i like sight fishing but favor not seeing the fish untill i lip it.
  4. man i would love to go! good luck fellas.
  5. On average, a 24" bass is an 8 lb fish, give or take a pound based on physique (Paunchy <-> Svelte). In the same vein, the proverbial 9-pound bass has a mean length of 25 inches. Morbidly obese fish need not apply Roger hahah my avatar is 7 lbs and change and it was 20 inches on the dot. haha my luck when i released it and not weighing it is that i caught it again. so catch yours again and if unable i think you should see a psychiafish. haha
  6. and ill add that you wont have to apologize either. :-/
  7. anyone else try to clear coat their lipless cranks and what are you guys changing your hooks too?
  8. i killed em with a beat eye chrome red eye shad today. it is def the chrome that sux. ill post a pic tomorrow if im not fishing of the lure thats caught about 15 fish from 1-4 lbs.
  9. ive gone through about 4 of these in the past two days because the paint was comming off so bad. i use the blue back chrome. the bait is awesome but the paint chips and scratches off so easily from either bass teeth or plant life. have i got a bad batch or is this typical among strike king red eye shad chrome baits or rattle traps in general? thanks fellas. for 6 bucks a pop id like it to last more than a day of hard fishing
  10. hey fellas. just got back on the lake up in ny and it was ice out three weeks maybe and there are already tons of weeds. i think they are dead but still around. why are they there or alive. last year at this time the lake was baron on the bottom. it was awesome . now there are tons of weeds still. so will they decompose when the knew weeds start or what. thanks for any info trav
  11. Did anyone else read the emotional story in the latest bassmasters magazine regarding Bass series Elite pro Gerald swindle and the story about his brother with pancreatic Cancer. What a moving read. im not an emotional guy or very into the after life aspect but having a brother i have to admit i shed a few tears in this read. I encourage everyone who hasnt read this article yet to check it out. I for one will def be rooting for gerry swindle this year! Trav ps. if any moderator can post the story thatd be great!
  12. did someone say beer? and btw. i do tonsssssss of walk wading ponds and tea bag the water all the time. i def always bring a scale and a camera. holla
  13. dont forget about terminators and there line i have a t -1 series that i have never missed a fish on and without a trailer hook. i dont like them . i havent tried war eagle cause i like the painted eyes. but congrats on finding a winner. im gonna stick with the terminators but hey who knows how more fish i could be catching with something else! t
  14. bout two weeks ago i was whipping a crankbait out there. half way through the day i was still doin the same thing then all of a sudden my back tweaked! ever since ive been having all sorts of back tightness and was immobile that night. for a 27 year old guy thats pretty weak! anyone else ever have an issue?
  15. what a slamma jamma! Just think that piggy will be 10-11 next year at spawn cant wait to see you catch her next year to get ur first DD! t
  16. ive read a couple of ideas as too why fish get like that and how common it is in in the spawn and prespawn theory 1- the blood vessels in the fins are very sensistive and with the very warming waters of spring the vessels erupt because of the increased blood flow due to the water temperature. im about 80 percent correct i said that right haha. theory 2- courting with another fish nipping and rubbing with structure ie. rocks, stumps, over hanging brush and so forth. im sure one of the more educated fishers will lend their two cents. t
  17. spooks for me and beaver style baits. but anyone that wants to unload some lures send them this wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy . and raul put me in your will ;D t
  18. i was in the same bought and bought a croix mojo 7foot m fast action for around 100 bucks. i like a slower action on my spinnerbait rods so thats what i went with. i do own a shimano crucial as well and the lifetime waranty is def a plus.
  19. hey fellas i only have about 5 spinnerbaits i use and i need a small tacklebox for them. i dont like cutting out other pieces of plastic of larger boxes. any ides thanks fellas? t

thats awesome that you were able to be out that long! atleast you got to try tons of techniques and lures as well as areas and hopefullly you found some new ones. sounds like my kinda day in duration i went out from 430 to 5 today. caught a about a half dozen . but i did go out for a few hours the other day and got skunked which broke my streak for a about a month. > i feel your pain brother t
  21. we got after it... slayed em.... took it to em.... my favorite. we hammered em
  22. id look for the slowest moving water possible and try some bright spinnerbaits maybe a single spinner. i def like the bridge idea with a drop shot but since there has been lots of tournies there already they may be gun shy so possible some downsizing of line and lures as well. some water temps may help but it looks like a 5 fish limit is gonna put you high on the board. id also have to go with a carolina rigged brush hawg. witht he current the tails would be going nuts. well good luck and i def would like to hear what you used as well as how you did! Represent bass resource baby t
  23. well not for nothing out of the 52 something competitors we only had like 12 respond. makes it tough to have 3 categories when no one replys. i think that if you sign up you have to try and throw a fish pic up even if its small. maybe we need reminder messages sent out ? i think this is an AWESOME thing to do and def fun as heck. i like competing against other states and people in this kinda way and dont mind helping out. it would be awesome to do a few categories but would it be worth it if only 5 or so guys do each category? i think itd be kool to do a lmb a smb and an overall? id also like to do a east vs west thing. tons of different things and ways to make this a better tournament what you think? t
