Fragile ONETEN?
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the 110’s bill broke off on a submerged rock. The thing that sucked was I only had one in that color and they were chewin’ on it.

Fragile ONETEN?
@stratos4me, I broke a bill off a Vision 110 fishing shallow up at Clear Lake. My guide said to contact Megabass and they’d probably replace it. I was skeptical, but I did contact them. To my surprise, Megabass said they would replace it. All I had to do was fill out a form and mail the damage bait to them ($5.00 USPS). The only thing was it took an extra week because the damaged 110 color was Megabass sexy shad and they were due to arrive with the next shipment. Just great customer service just like their products. Give ‘em a call, what’s the worst thing they could say, “No?” Good luck

- What do you suspect you're doing wrong that other BR anglers are doing right?
What am I doing wrong?- I haven’t gone fishing due to various reasons and obligations here in early 2024 I’m looking forward to spending more time on the water. *And I do have a tendency to fish a technique I want the fish to respond to as opposed to what the fish want or are doing. What are other BR members doing right?- They’re going fishing and putting a hurtin' on ‘em! One needs to look no further than posts last two months in the “Latest Catch” thread. I suspect the numbers of BR posting there to increase as more of the big girls attend the annual spring dance.- New Video - Motor Position While Towing
I appreciated @A-Jay’s recommendation and endorsement regarding the DD-26. It definitely tightens things up when trailering the boat and the fact I wasn’t a fan of dealing with 5 feet of transom saver.- What was or is your favorite baitcating reel?
In some ways the was or is my favorite reel could come down to the why for me. The why being though I have tried, I just can’t take my old Curado B’s out of the lineup for deploying moving baits. *it probably didn’t help installing Carbontex Carbon fiber drag washers and regular bearing maintenance.- Do you seal the cork on your rods with a cork sealer?
I do now and I it’s U-40 to seal ‘em both old and new. I’m not a fan of magic erasers wavy effect on the cork rings on one of my rods and went back to using 400 grit emery paper. The photos are of three Powell Max and one Okuma rod that I reworked the cork handles by light sanding with emery paper, then filled the cork and then U-40 application was applied to keep them serviceable. YMMV- Latest Catch Pics Thread
Rack ‘em and stack’em @Pat Brown, stay on a roll!- Road To The Superbowl 2025
I was kinda thinking of the days of George Allen vs Tom Landry when I first read about it. Sumptin to keep things interesting leading up to the draft. St. Louis might still be prepared to build a football stadium for a team looking for new digs.- Road To The Superbowl 2025
Dallas mayor wants the Chiefs to move there says the city can support two teams. What is going on…- World Class Bass Fisheries in Jeopardy
Nothings changed in that regard nor will it. Unfortunately “They” are doing a really good job of getting rid of the salmon, both wild and hatchery fish.- World Class Bass Fisheries in Jeopardy
Stripers don’t get stocked in California @Woody B, and I believe they do reproduce naturally in New Hogan. They have been introduced to lakes all over the state as fry via the State and Federal pumps in Tracy moving water from Sacramento / San Joaquin Delta south for urban and big agribusiness uses. The only time I remember stripers being stocked was when state officials dumped over 2 million striper smolts in the state aqueduct. Those fish were paid for buy anglers purchasing a “Bay-Delta Enhancement Stamp” at $5.00 when they purchased their license. The state’s rationale was it was providing a fishing opportunity- just not for the anglers who paid to have SF Bay fishery enhanced.- Your favorite 110 color

I was able to break the seal on 2024 with this pretty little pound and a half bass. The spring like weather has me optimistic the fishing will only improve as we moving forward into March…- The "Get the Truth" Poll
I went with #2 when answering the poll question. I figured if that’s the case I'd be able to unload about 60 plus pounds of rods and gear from the floating tackle box which would equate to better fuel economy and time management. I’d be fishing with one rod in hand, one bait or package of baits and just concentrating on catching a monster bass.- Western Washington Bass
@Glenn or maybe @islandbass could help you out regarding the when and where for bass fishing in your neck of the woods @Philzghost, if I was up around the Olympic Peninsula at present it’d be difficult to pry me away from the Quinault River steelhead. By the way @Philzghost, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums!- Road To The Superbowl 2025
@gimruis it’s going to be Sam Darnold- It's been a while.
Welcome again and glad you’re back @Redlinerobert, hope all’s well and the Ranger is still getting some use- What is Your “Cadillac” Reel?
@redmeansdistortion, those are definitely some grand plans. This Alphas was the first JDM reel I purchased way back in ‘05 and was paired with a GLX 842. Other than some pitting from salt water during the numerous droughts over the years out on the Delta I think it’s still in pristine condition. Now, if I ever get ambitious in tricking it out I will be in contact to tap those mad scientist skills 👍.- What is Your “Cadillac” Reel?
For the longest time this was my Cadillac reel, now she’s parked in the garage but I’m thankful for the memories.- I bought waterfront property.
Congratulations @ol'crickety on your new piece of fishing paradise! Gotta think your new neighbors will appreciate you being a steward of the lake all its various inhabitants. We’re all looking forward to seeing some great photos and hearing of your fishing adventures.- What species do you miss catching and why? And what don't you miss catching?
I miss fishing for salmon, specifically King Salmon off the coast just outside the Gate or in the rivers. The decline of this fishery is due to state and federal water politics, poor CDFW management policies and drought conditions over the years. I’m at a point where I’m just thankful I was able to experience with family and friends at a time when the fishing was good.- Road To The Superbowl 2024
I really appreciate your perspective @throttleplate however inaccurate it may be regarding The Faithful and the 49ers fan base. But I can say with a little more confidence that minnie (0-4 in SBs) is less likely to make it to a Super Bowl anytime soon let alone win one. Only time will tell. BTW, lost boys was filmed in Santa Cruz- Road To The Superbowl 2024
Congratulations to KC and their fan base on winning Super Bowl LVIII. A second place finish to end a season might be measured as success by some however it’s definitely a bitter loss when winning the SB is the organizational goal. I believe the 49ers and The Faithful will take some time to process everything. Then it’s about getting healthy (starting with Dre Greenlaw) and move forward towards getting to SB LVIII which begins with the upcoming draft and free agency. Go Niners- Where did the old timers go?
The I think this topic epitomizes the contributions of members of the BR community over the years I’ve been here. I do miss the comments and insights I’d enjoy reading of @Oregon Native (RIP), @Redlinerobert, @Raul, @lo n slo, @jbsoonerfan to name a few off the top of my head…. *joined BR community 05-2005 - What do you suspect you're doing wrong that other BR anglers are doing right?
