  1. Not in Clear Lake this time of year with drought conditions. Watched a couple of Greg Blanchard tournament videos so @Darth-Baiter did well under current conditions. The algae bloom was so bad Blanchard described it as “thick as paint” cause it’s like pea soup. With fall weather coming, things should be better…
  2. Sorry for your family’s loss @Zippo Guy
  3. I haven’t wet a line since mid July, then I sold the boat when I got a green light for a new one. So the new boat is sitting in the garage as we prepare for my oldest getting married after a year’s delay. But it’s a good problem for me to have ‘cause the fish will still be there when I’m able to get after’ em…
  4. Glad you discovered it, you’re gonna enjoy it….
  5. A Tackle Warehouse box arrived on my porch today to solve my 5’ long trailer motor toter situation with the new boat. Gonna protect a Pro XS. Thanks to @A-Jay for posting about the DD26 on this thread and confirming with steering locks it’s a sound investment.
  6. I do like to throw a Deps Buzzjet and a Jackall Pompadour. Not something the bass see on a regular basis….
  7. Yep I’ve got one, a PT66MH given to me by my Dad before he passed. It’s been my spinnerbait rod for quite some time and helped put a lot of big green fish in the boat over the years. Even though it’s still a good, serviceable rod with sentimental value, I’m leaning towards replacing it very soon with a 7’ stick….
  8. What percentage of almonds are exported? Almonds accounted for nearly 70 percent U.S. tree nut export volume in recent years, averaging over 970 million pounds (shelled basis) or almost three-quarters of world almond exports. Following almonds are walnuts and pistachios with over 10 percent and about 7 percent, respectively, of total tree nut exports. 81% of the world’s almonds come from California….
  9. Congratulations @Bluebasser86 on AOY! I definitely enjoyed reading the accounts of your season. Good luck in the TOC
  10. About two months ago I high stick a spinnerbait fish and break a little over 4 inches off of my Crucial “B” 7’2”HA. I decided to give Shimano a call and ask about a replacement. Using their Express Service (50% off) I was able to get a Zodias 7’2”HA for a small cost increase to upgrade over a Curado rod. Granted, I’d have to wait until this December to get it. So imagine my surprise when the Zodias arrived way ahead of schedule. I was able to find a mint JDM Curado 201I for an obscene eBay auction win, and some Carbontex drag washers will be installed at a later date. And then my Minister of Scheduling and Finance gave me a green light for a new ride to replace the ‘04 520VX. I feel very blessed and promised Mrs B I’d cut back on my Tackle Warehouse purchases. Right now my personal bait and boat monkey is fat…

  16. Right there with ya @Darth-Baiter. Took a pic from the truck window while I was heading south on I5 of the sun rising through the smoke over Sierras. Crazy stuff, just hope the firefighters are getting the needed resources to get things contained…
  17. Couldn’t agree more with @Russ E, and I’ve had the now banned Phenix do it as well. However, with the Phenix this would happen after awhile on a good fish…
  18. Last Saturday’s festivities I finally got around to posting…
