Which was thee best bass boat you’ve ever owned?
A Ranger, the only make I’ve owned. This is my second boat, it had the original power head had 920 hours, lots of storage and was as dependable as day one when I let her go. I was brought up with the ethos, “take care of your equipment and it’ll take care of you” and that boat definitely did. My new Ranger boat is now my favorite and look forward to her being just as dependable ?

Absolutely Clayton! Must be those long lines of stop-n-go traffic getting to the ramp to launch ?

Child starting to drive
Congratulations @jbsoonerfan on your son’s upcoming completion of the DL process and important life stage. I’ll mean fewer trips to the grocery store for last minute milk and eggs amongst other things. Pops had a washed, waxed and topped off truck come Monday morning if I wanted to use it Saturday night… If Oklahoma has a driving test with with a state driving evaluator like California, I suggest maybe finding out the test route for that DMV office your son will test at and practice it with him. All his friends will know the route and you’ll be able to see potential pitfalls. I did it with my two daughters, and it was surprising how many of their friends failed before or while leaving the DMV parking lot. The hopeful drivers didn’t check their mirrors, didn’t know how to turn on/off the windshield wipers or right rear tire clipped the curb entering the roadway when leaving DMV lot. Not to mention it’ll add to the confidence you already have in his abilities to pass the driving test as every teen driver dreads having “Scary Larry” with his clipboard sitting next to them. And I’m sure you’re looking forward to hearing “my buddy and I want to go hit the lake, so can I hook up the boat“…..

How many "Average Joe" bass anglers do you think are out there who could dominate the pros?
Very true Tom and Dee continues to fish well as a pro. By the way, didn’t BASS institute an 8 ft maximum rod length rule because of Dee’s success “tule dipping”?

How many "Average Joe" bass anglers do you think are out there who could dominate the pros?
Highly recruited “amateur athletes” and very unsuccessful pros. Brady was a back-up when he was drafted as the 199th pick. I’m pretty sure Michigan’s starting quarterback ahead of Brady didn’t have much success as a pro. So again, that kid from Serra High, to his credit, is another exception to the rule. We can go back and forth citing various examples. The fact of the matter is it’s tough enough to become a pro at any sport, let alone sustain continued success at the highest levels. And those who do should be celebrated

I appreciate the suggestion, thanks

No, I’m sorry I haven’t @Catt. But I have heard of JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf. My point was an “Average Joe” being a successful pro fisherman is more of an exception, not the rule. So I guess you helped prove my point. After all, if it was easy everyone would be doing it.

The VERY BEST “Average Joe’s” who make the jump are called average pros. The carrot of turning pro is dangled in front of players by coaches in every sport year after year and very few are drafted or become successful pros. Why would professional bass fishing be any different?

The Road To The Super Bowl 2022
Yes he did! My oldest got married this past weekend and we watching the games before the wedding presents we’re going to be opened. I know you understand, and congratulations to you and your bride once again. And I did think of your previous comment, good to see Jennings work payoff with what will what will hopefully be the first of many TDs. And it was nice to see Henry have beast mode kinda day up in the Pacific Northwest

what do you expect (in terms of receiving shipment) when buying expensive gear online?
Sorry to hear about your situation @fishhugger, and the past year hasn’t help with shipping problems. Just like everyone else, I expect is my stuff to arrive intact and on time. But then again SNAFU’s do happen. And as @roadwarrior mentioned, PayPal is a great to have in your corner when and if an issue arises

GIN clear
The Spelling police?!? Is it possible it may have something to do with what part of the country or regional dialect is being used? I don’t know, but if anything it’s the Punctuation Police who’d really be busy ?. And I definitely like my Gin with tonic and a wedge of lime. Be well all
