  1. I’m gonna say it’s a very COLD bass with a hand warmer ?
  2. Rest In Peace John Madden…. For a kid who grew up in Daly City, yours was a life well lived Husband, father, and grandfather Hall of Fame football coach Television personality, Businessman, and Entrepreneur Our sports lives were enriched through those spontaneous Maddenisms And thanks for introducing us all to Turducken A lot of folks are waiting to see you again Rest In Peace
  3. Hello @TheGunGuy from Northern California! Welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums
  4. Hang in there @BrianMDTX
  5. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your families! And to my friends @DogBone_384 and @ike8120 , Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year cause I ran outta “Likes” just now, of all days ?
  6. Never slow enough. Too much water I want to cover
  7. Congratulations @Koz on the well deserved recognition and bonus. I’d probably figure out which combo technique wise I enjoy that I’d like to upgrade and go from there. The Zodias-Expride combos are excellent suggestions. I don’t have an Expride (at least not yet), but I do like my two Zodias combos for chucking bladed jigs. And I’m sure you’ve already done something like this, but I’d probably buy my crew lunch as a group as a way of saying thanks. Definitely looking forward to seeing what you decided on in the “Latest Tackle Purchase Thread” and Merry Christmas!
  8. I’m gonna be chucking some Jellyworms very soon thanks to @BrianMDTX giving me a bag as part of Fishmas 2021 ?
  9. Merry Christmas to you and your family @N Florida Mike! Hope you enjoy your vacation?.
  10. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the Bass Resource community! And a Happy New Year and tight lines for 2022!
  11. I’ve used this technique at times in the early spring for bass @Fat Ika, just not with a fly. I’ll wacky rig a senko or a worm under the float and let the wind chop provide the majority of the action to the bait.

  13. Hello @padlin from Northern California! Welcome Bob to Bass Resource and the Forums!
  14. I agree @stewa107 that you should be getting better performance out of your boat. What prop do you have on it? Have you talked with your mechanic? I had an ‘04 520VX with a 225 Optimax turning a 25p Tempest and even with 923 hours on the original powerhead I would get 70mph (GPS) at 5600rpm (redline).
  15. I’m already there. And I’ve got four (4) international airports within an hours drive if a change of scenery is needed….
  16. Same here Brian. And I’m going with all of ‘em! With water temperatures here now in the mid 40’s, I’ll have that Scout tie on next time out, which is looking like very early 2022
  17. Thanks for the Fishmas package @BrianMDTXand the great selection of baits! I appreciated your explaining how each bait has worked for you on your home waters and I hope to have similar success on the delta! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
  18. Happy Birthday @Catt and JB and many more going forward!
  19. Congratulations @TnRiver46, well deserved!
  20. I’ve been very happy with Loomis, Daiwa, and Shimano’s warranty / rod replacement programs. I’d tell ‘em what happened or what I did and follow their recommendations or instructions. Pay whatever the fee is or the shipping costs are and a new rod arrives in a few days. Powell’s is very easy, but cringe worthy and I guess effective in stopping folks from gaming the system. Email three photos, one of the rod’s info, one of the rod’s Powell trademark, and one where you cut through the Powell trademark.
