  1. On those Rage Bugs and Rage Craws @radiant, maybe consider the colors California Craw and Lake Fork Craw
  2. When that someone eventually wins this lottery prize, Uncle Sam is also gonna be a big winner. As for chucking in a couple bucks on a billion dollar pot, why not? Someone’s got to win. At this point in my opinion it’s kinda like putting a few dollars in the company Super Bowl pool, or the 50-50 at HS football game… good luck to those playing. By the way, when IS the next drawing?
  3. I just recently purchased a JDM Shimano 20 Vanford C3000HG @PBBrandon, that’s well below your price point on eBay. When the box arrived a couple days later, the box was so light I didn’t believe there was a reel inside ?. All I can say is the Vanford is very smooth, in my opinion very light and I’ll be getting another. Between the above mentioned reels from Shimano and Daiwa, you’ll be getting a very good reel. Good luck with your decision

  10. Regarding her worn tail, she was possibly sitting up underneath a ledge @Fishlegs
  11. Congratulations on your new Personal Best and new PB frog fish, she’s a beautiful bass
  12. Prayers for both you and Mrs Hammer
  13. I appreciate the Bass Resource community for the free flow of ideas. It’s the willingness of members to share their vast knowledge, various experiences and different approaches to catching bass. It’s because of this I have learned of different tackle and techniques and made me a better angler.
  14. Sorry for your loss @bowhunter63
  15. Most new boats seem to haverecessed slot to stow the measuring board. On my old boat I Velcro’d the bump board to the underside of the starboard rear deck storage compartment lid.
  16. Not too shabby! You’re definitely on a roll!
  17. Heck of a morning, congrats on the new PB!
  18. 1st of many ‘cause ya gotta start somewhere! Great job on the build and good luck on the water @MN Fisher
  19. I had the top of a outgoing tide and almost dead calm conditions to start the morning. I eventually whittled down my topwater offerings to throwing a popper, picking up a few 1-2.5 lbs fish as the morning progressed. I was starting to think where I might go next as I finished up the stretch of bank with a few more casts with the popper. Outta nowhere the water erupted and a big green fish came out of the water and crashed down on my popper leaving a huge swirl in its wake. A second or two later my rod loaded and the fight was on, a couple of drag stripping runs that redirected the boat and I was eventually able to get her in the net. She weighed a healthy 6.56 lbs and was released after a memorable battle.
  20. Happy Father’s Day boys! Hope you and yours have a great day!
  21. Somewhere on the shores of Lake Menderchuck….
  22. Another avenue to explore @Cincycreech is a certificate boat, which is given as a prize for a tournament win in lieu of the actual boat. Granted, it’ll probably be a little more than your current budget but you can negotiate the price with the seller. With the certificate boat you can usually upgrade the boat size, motor displacement, electronics, various options and color. Good luck with your search and your new boat
  23. X2, as I think we all do
  24. Sorry to hear about your situation @ww2farmer, your daughters are fortunate to have you as a stable and understanding father as the three of you work through these unforeseen set of circumstances.
