I keep mine tucked behind my driver side bench seat but when I’m fishing it’s just laying out on the floor to access easier. I see that some newer boats actually have a specific clip or storage slot for the bump board. Where and how do you store yours in the boat? I’m trying to find a good way to hold it in place but also make it easy to access.

Board got put off till next season - it's an optional item, and I ran out of money on the F-9 before I could get one.

 

Once I do have one, the general storage area is long enough for a 30" one. Once the circuit breakers are engaged at the ramp, it'll go on the TM deck over the battery compartment hatch.

My boat is small, so I don't have a measuring board right now. 

I have two measuring tapes on the gunwales of the boat. Quick way for me to measure fish before returning to the water.

It’s usually on the floor while I’m fishing. At the end of the day I store it under the passenger seat. 

No one has a good way of storing their bump board here?

My boat came with one and a storage slot by the live wells.  Before that I had one that I made from a 1x6.  I used a dado blade and cut a slot for a section of a yard stick (18”).  Then I put an end stop on it.  It lived under my console by my feet.

Sorry bud my Skeeter is built in by my step up. How about inside the rod locker lid. Use a metal board 4” wide by 24” long and mark your inches with a scrolling tool. Then attach a magnet to the inside of the locker lid and have your board always at the ready.

I use a mount from sniper air industries thats made specifically for my Ketch Karbonate. The Ketch board is nice and well worth the money IMHO.

Most new boats seem to haverecessed slot to stow the measuring board. On my old boat I Velcro’d the bump board to the underside of the starboard rear deck storage compartment lid.

That aint bad.  Maybe I'll give that some consideration.

make a sheath for the back of kayak seat?  I think fast access would be a plus.

 

on a side note, I am kinda shocked those things dont float.  I watched a kayak guy in a tournament cuss himself out once.  I would glue a section of yoga mat to the entire back side of that thing.  make it quieter as well, I imagine. 

on my boat I have probably a 36" long heavy metal board laying on the floor.  It's a Lund so more cockpit space than a bass boat.

 

my kayaks have slots for a hawg trough/ketch board.  my row boat has a sticker on the middle bench seat.

I have enough stuff to trip over already.

I screwed it to the carpeted rear deck on my 1648 jon boat 5 or 6 years ago. I think I may put a 36" on the front deck.

The world record chain pickerel was 36" long and 11# iirc. Be prepared.
