Fishing Bedding Bass
I love to fish for spawning bass with a QUICK photo and release. Watching them interact with the lure gets my motor running.

Fishing Bedding Bass
I don't want to start a firestorm but want to sample the opinions of anglers. Just curious what the differences are in hunting rutting deer and bedding bass?

WHY
Wow guys, I had this site all wrong, I thought it was for fun and we might learn something about bass fishing along the way. I thought we might even enjoy sharing life with others with the same interests. Now I know (according to Burley) we need to pull up our panties and be all serious about this stuff. Just one question---isn't bass fishing supposed to be light hearted and fun with a bunch of great guys??? It is for me! LIGHTEN UP, CHILL OUT, RELAX, KICK BACK, AND ENJOY LIFE 8-)

medical question
Of course it is most likely a potassium need but it could be a blood clot in your leg as they give pain and cramps. Be careful and get it checked if the pain and cramps continues.

Anyone have any input on Lake Fork guide Doug Shampine?
I have used Roy Greer on two occasions and will be with him again in April. He is THE BEST and taught Tom much when he first started guiding on Fork. You will be happy with Roy!!!

Are bass viviparous?
You should know by now that there are others that will poke fun no matter the question. This is why I am mostly a stealthy BR member. The male will remain on the nest protecting the eggs and fry for a time. After a certain amount of time ( maybe about 7-10 days) the male bass will turn on the fry eating many of them and scattering the rest of them. Some of us are obviously not smarter than a 5th grader as some of us forgot the definition of viviparous. 8-)

Need Advice!! Airplanes & small children
The number one thing is to take something for the 3yr old to chew or suck on. A passifier, food, gum, whatever will keep his jaws moving. Sucking a bottle (I know he is 3) would be best on climb and especially descent. When you start down your ears will plug and everytime the babies start crying as their ears have pressure and hurt. The sucking motion will clear their ears and equalize the pressure. The only other advise is to take stuff to keep the little ones busy. No 3 yr old will sit in a seat quietly with nothing to do. You must entertain or get ugly stares and sighs from other passengers.

If you could only fish ONE lure the rest of your life....
It would have to be a Watermelon Seed Fat Ika. Did I win a prize RW?? 8-) Seriously it would be a soft jerk bait T-rigged, color would depend on water color, clarity, and time of year. Watermelon seed, watermelon red flake, or pumpkin seed.

Books for the winter time duldroms..
Knowing Bass is by far the best one I have ever read. I love to read and will buy and read any bass fishing book I can find. Knowing Bass should be required reading for all Bass anglers.

What's the latest on Gander Mt?
I read in a trade publication that Gander Mountain bought Cabelas some time ago and were doing well. I was shocked to read that and wonder if they had it backwards? I will go back and attempt to find the article to share with the thread.

Anyone Use the Fishing Hot Spots Maps?
I have found that they are great for getting an idea on where to start with your sonar. I find promising areas and then watch my depth finder to fine tune then use bouys.

Late March early April Lake Fork Trip.
I will be at Fork the 1st thru the 7th of April staying at the Fishermans Cove Motel. It will be the new moon and hopefully it will be ok. I am concerned that I will be casting to alot of post spawners with lock jaw. Any advice would be appreciated.

A weather question
It may be the last 12 months (physcal year), not the calendar year.

Johnny Morris Signature Series Baitcast Reel
I have had to learn the hard way that Store Brands are not going to be the quality for the long haul. I bought 2 Cabelas Prodigy Baitcasters and they did not last, I bought a JM Signature Series with 10 bearings. After the purchase I was told it would soon develop thumb bar problems--it did. Since those mistakes I stick to Shimano Calais for my baitcasters and have had nothing but a good experience and reliable reels. With store brands you never know what you will get, with a regular brand regardless of price you know what you are getting.

How do you rig and what size?
The frst step in overcoming addictions is to admit it so here goes. I am addicted to the T-Rig. I have tried to overcome it with spinnerbaits and crankbaits but I fall off the wagon and always go back to the T-Rig. I sincerely wish I could catch fish on the spinner or the crank but I probably catch 10 to 1 more on the T-Rig. Hmmm should I be 8-) 8-) or :-/
