Citibank May Be Nationalized Overnight
Wall street traders remind me of my dogs. One starts barking, the rest start barking and none have a clue what they are barking at, just following the pack.

Bucktail question
I have been tying bucktails for years and you are on the right track. Get ALL the flesh off the tail stub that you can then use table salt and rub in lots on any meaty areas. After that just allow to dry naturally (away from cats--been there done that). I duck hunt, keep duck parts and have friends who give me turkey and pheasant parts. This is normally easy to find if you start asking around. These feathers/hackle make GREAT additions to the bucktails. You will need a pair of Friscar brand kids scissors (they cut anything) to cut the needed material trom the tail. There are several different colors in a Bucktail and with a feather in the middle for contrast you can make some beautiful bucktail lures. I have a Golden Retriever and use some of her different colored hair for nice lures. The main key is to use a very small amount of hair, wrap it, add a bit more, repeat as needed. Use your imagination, Christmas Tree ice-cycles work great for a bit of flash. Good tying. 8-)

Citibank May Be Nationalized Overnight
Hi RW, Always heard the market rises on faith (read Greed) and falls on fear. What caused the market to tank on the Inaguration Day? I have an enquiring mind?

Why do we spend $25 on a crankbait when...
The bait Monkey has bit hard with LC baits also but I began to wonder??? Is it the clubs that make Tiger Woods such a great golfer or is it skill? It seems to me that skill includes knowledge of the lake, weather conditions, fishing patterns in use, physical fishing skill, and of course lure selection but lure selection is only one link in the chain. 8-)

Lake Fork Trip - Good Guides? Is it worth it?
I have a place on Lake Fork (Williams Cove) and was there for 10 days in January --lots of fish. I will be back the first 2 weeks of March, April, and May. I would recommend a guide and there are some good ones listed in the above thread. I have used Roy Greer different times with great success, Tom and Lance are also top picks. I will be there when you are and will be glad to help. Above all else be able to pitch to a cup at 10-15 paces as you will be there during the spawn pitching to bedding fish where accuracy is everything. If you do not know how to fish spawning fish--you have a bit of time to learn before you get there. Good luck and keep us posted. <')))>>><<

You gotta see this the new Airbus A380 cockpit
Redliner--I have flown most all small prop planes and in my corporate career I flew turbo props, Citation, Hawker, and Gulfstream jets. I have flown all models of the 747 except the SP. The 747 is an old mans airplane, even with all the power everything happens slowly and if we lose an engine--we still have 3 left unlike most other commercial jets that only start with 2. No doubt the Airbus is has newer computers but the old reliable 747 is so advanced and automatic I call it commercial aircraft for dummies. Of course every 6 months we have to go to the simulator to prove we still have the right stuff for when good airplanes go bad. Sounds like a Fox reality show. It is not as good as being financially free to spend more time on the waters of Baccarac, The Amazon chasing Peacocks, but it looks like I will be living in Alaska in spring so I see King Salmon on the Kenai river in my future. I am in Anchorage now with 35degree temps and light snow.

You gotta see this the new Airbus A380 cockpit
That is an awesome aircraft. I have been flying 747's for 13years and it would be nice to get my hands on one of those of those things before I retire. Have seen several of them but not flown one YET!

Lots of followups (Wakes behind my lure)
Glen is right but you might also try a smaller size bait, or a trailer hook if you are using a spinnerbait.

Loomis GLX vs. IMX
You will be AMAZED what you will feel with a GLX, the biggest problem with a GLX is that they are so sensitive, you will feel so much more that you will for awhile set the hook way too soon. What a nice problem to have. I purchased one of my GLX rods via ebay at a substantial discount and it is perfect. Good luck and enjoy the new love of your life.

Loomis GLX vs. IMX
I use my GLX's for jigs and plastics, I want to feel a bass burp at 10'. When I am fishing with cranks or spinners I use other rods. It has been my experience that if the fish are active enough to be hitting a fast horizontal bait they hit it hard enough to easily be felt on a much less expensive rod. If you can afford a GLX you will fall in love with it for slow fishing.

How many lbs would you estimate for this bass?
Come on guys, we as anglers have a certain reputation to live up to. That fish has to at least a 10lbr and had a 2lbr in its mouth when it was caught. It was caught on a Zebco 202 and 2 lb test line. She was caught on the first cast on a lake never before fished The bass was caught by a 5yr old girl while throwing rocks in the water. --Any other ideas? Seriously, Nice Bass, 5 1/2- 61/2 would be a guess. Congrats.

Lake Fork
You will find the lake in a period of transition. Most of the fish have spawned with lots of post spawners. In Birch the spawn should be behind you enough for the fish to become active again. They will be fattening up and hanging deeper. The saying on Fork is if you are not cussing grass you are not in the bass. You will also catch some in the grass, the last Sharelunker (March 11, full moon) came from 7' water in the grass. You will have very few bed fish to sight fish for but the lake is clearing for the most part in most areas. I will be back at the lake house on Fork starting the 1st of May for two weeks. Let me know what you do to connect . We want pictures. 8-)
