  1. Nailed it....if I needed another reel, the fuego at the current price is too good to pass up. But I need another reel like a hole in the head.
  2. Thanks to Bassn Blvd...some great baits in great colors.
  3. I love Norman Thin N's, that blushing sexy shad kinda looks like there color "slick"...nice
  4. I didnt' realize he had 2 different shows . I wonder if I have NESN on my digital package, we have a bunch of sports channels I don't watch....what am I saying :-X
  5. x2 It was funny but not THAT funny. And anything with Will Ferral is a funny movie. Ever see Bewitched or Kicking and Screaming?
  6. Old School was ok for me at best, didn't really find it all that continuously funny. I would say it is better than Semi-Pro, but far below Step Brothers, now that's a wonderful mess of nonsense and it's great. I've not seen The Hangover yet but if it indeed is as good as I have heard, then I can't wait.
  7. that's awesome
  8. Was the challenge by lowbudgethooker before your time on this forum? That was (and may still be) a big sore spot for lbh and other members here. Lbh was doing it help a kids fishing program (or something similar) and if I remember correctly, the shows producer wouldn't even talk to lbh. That probably was before I started here, I don't remember reading anything about it. That sucks though.
  9. 1. SK Series 5 - Rootbeer 2. LC RC 1.5 - In either Copper Perch or Ghost Chartreuse Perch 3. *** 6'' Finesse Worm - Watermelon Purple Swirl 4. 4-1/2'' Roboworm Straight Tail - Martens Magic 5. SK Zero - Watermelon Red
  10. I think they are his favorite bait maker But seriously,he is probably making it a point to avoid this topic.
  11. I'm not a rod builder but I don't think it's a cheap hobby. I would suggest you take a look at some of these... http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/rod-building-books/ http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/rod-building/
  12. Dicks has just as much stuff as Academy. Normally at the same price. The Dicks here has a selection that is one step up from Wal-mart.
  13. Evolution is good line, CX and CXX are better. Like Fourbizz said, it has less stretch, but it can be a little on the weak side in same sizes of CX. If you are using smaller diameter lines, 10-12lb, go with CXX, CX is a little weaker but more manageable in larger sizes.
  14. Do they still shoot that show...it doesn't come on my cable any more. Someone here should challenge him.
  15. for $2 a pop I bought a few packs at Dicks, I've spent more for worse. Not really tried them out but if they swim halfway decent then they were worth it.
  16. went to BPS yesterday and asked about them. They said they had them but they weren't available for purchase yet. It says quantities are low on the site, I would imagine that if you attempted to purchase one, you would get a back order notice for a while.
  17. I fished it for about a month for deep divers and changed back to P-Line CXX. It's okay but lacks the durability, seemed to get eaten up pretty fast and breakoffs were a problem. I still use it on my shallow crank/ jerkbait rod. It's a really smooth and limp line but strength was an issue.
  18. Back surgery is scary. I underwent a microdiscectomy last year in June for 3 ruptured discs at the ripe old age of 23. A good season of fishing being laid up in the bed, one of the main things that kept me from going stir crazy was joining this board. The main thing to remember is for her to take her time recovering and take care of her. Good luck to both of you.
  19. They used to be sub $100 rods, I think $109 for the 8 footer, I see they are considerably more now though. on second thought maybe they started at $109 but they used to be less
  20. Lucky Craft TLC Cranking Rod, $150 at TW. I have a 7'MH that use for mid-deep divers and love it. Actually thinking about getting a 7'M for shallow runners.
  21. I'll watch Charlie Moore before I watch that guy again on purpose.
  22. To me, it's just something extra that has the potential to fail.
