  1. I think it's the old one, they posted new pics of the other revo's and that has been on there "on sale" for $129 for quiet some time.
  2. Can't complain about the fish not being fresh
  3. Yeah I was leaning towards the 704... most of my rods are MH and i dont even think i have a heavy rod besides my flippin stick... thanks for the input.. what do you consider heavier cover just out of curiosity? I wouldn't go punching thick mats with the 704c but for most applications it's the way to go
  4. Right now I have 1 spinning rod, a 7'M-XF Damiki Dark Angel and would recommend it to anyone.
  5. Oh and btw, the Revos feel great on the powells.
  6. I would say go with the 704c. It's a great all around rod for t-rigs, c-rigs, jigs, spinnerbaits. I have the 705c and it's better for heavier cover.
  7. those are some nice little bronze chunks
  8. yeah...well...it snowed a little here last night and frosted this morning and 38 is our high for today I don't think they're biting here nice catch for upper 30's Something wanted that fish and it looks like it got it hard.
  9. My wife bought us a TomTom this morning at the Wal-Mart Black Friday Sale for what seemed to be a good price.
  10. Yep.....working.....Saving the world one gallbladder at a time. :
  11. usually 6lb BPS Mr. Crappie camo line but also use 8lb P-line Fluoroclear
  12. I have two that I can fish small baits on and those are a Daiwa Sol on a 6'10" MH e21 Gold Carrot and a Daiwa Alphas 103 on a 7'M Daiwa Zillion. Both with 8-10lb line can handle small Owner Cultiva 68SP jerkbaits and even fished a Yo-Zuri Snapbean on the Sol, didn't go far but was fishable.
  13. I usually carry an M-Tech MT-425 in green or a Case XX Medium Jack
  14. I bought a Fossil wallet at an outlet in TN that has held up pretty good for the last year or so but honestly, I think a wallet is just one of those things that has to be replaced after awhile. I mean, a years use out of a $5 wallet makes it worth that $5.
  15. It doesn't really matter, just use a reel that you like. I would personally use a faster reel with a higher IPT
  16. I was wondering why when I bought my Alpha that an invoice was taped to the box that stated the value of the reel was $50 US.
  17. 4'' GYCB Kut Tail 4'' *** Dropshot worm BPS Tender tube and Zoom Finesse Worms and Roboworms straight tails even though they are 4.5'' Dropshot worm on a dropshot, Kut Tail, Finesse, and Straight Tail worms on a shakey head or dropshot, and Tender Tube with a weedless tube jighead.
  18. $11.99 for 250yds? I bought a 650yrd spool last year for 13 something I think
  19. Oh....come to think of it, my Powell flipping stck is the same way, has no effect that I can tell on casting
  20. I fish almost all of my tubes on these http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_95635_100010000_100000000_100010000_100-10-0 and if I plan on Texas rigging a tube I'll use these http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44436_100010003_100000000_100010000_100-10-3
  21. The only time I've ever had any luck on a buzzbait it was late October-mid November over top of dead grass flats. Intended on crappie fishing with no luck, threw a buzzbait over top of the grass and a few casts later, BAM!!! Caught 2, dad caught 2 and we lost a few more that got tangled in the grass, we would have hooked up with more but they were short striking like crazy that day
  22. I'm not too keen on Big Game in smaller sizes, it's great in larger sizes but have had some problems in the 10-12lb range. CX is a great compromise line but I prefer CXX, I know you posted a dislike for the manageability but on a baitcaster it doesn't effect me.
  23. Here's so "old country" metal
