  1. I'm actually surprised they insured the PVC tube, have heard on here they will not
  2. I have 2 of these and i like them a lot.....Thinking about trying out the Lamiglass Excels (a few $$ more) but i havent heard much about them: http://www.***.com/descpageRDSLAMIGLAS-LEBSRS.html But if you can get an HMG for $70 that would be the rod to get ! try not to worry about the rod being black, you can come back!! :-X OH NO HE DIDN'T
  3. did you see the recent south park episode about wrestling...it was great
  4. ROADWARRIOR....WHERE YOU BE? http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141053342 http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1187047441
  5. One of the reasons I don't own certain rapalas
  6. well....it is pink
  7. Had never heard of this not but used it a few weeks back for attaching braid onto backing for a musky outing
  8. My thoughts only....While both baits tend to mimic the same forage, their presentations are vastly different. With a jig you get the flair of the skirt and movement of the trailer that produces a large profile. The tube is slender and stream line which I feel gets more bites due to the finesse presentation it gives, some movement at the shirt but for the most part subdued.
  9. I haven't had any trouble with the site on my iPhone...I usually use it at work or when the old lady is on the computer

  11. They have nothing in my size.
  12. I really like the Tx3 hooks, very sharp. I just hate that they are bronze
  13. Nope, I don 't use line conditioner. neither do I
  14. too bad there short rods, a 7'M would have been nice.
  15. There is also the Abu Vengence, Daiwa Tierra, Okuma Guide Select and Reflexion, Shimano Clarus. A jump in price to say $100 or $120 opens the doors for many more
  16. I always over look BPS reels when suggesting but they seem very good for the money
  17. Here's what I use Spinning: 8-12lb P-Line Flouro-Clear/Yo-Zuri Hybrid. 6-8lb CXX would be more than sufficient for spinning as long as it's within reason, wouldn't fish a Hudd or a heavy jig in heavy cover. Casting: 8-10lb CXX for cranks/topwater, 12lb CXX smaller bottom baits/spinnerbaits, 15lb CXX casting larger worms/jigs in sparce cover, 17-20lb swimbaits/flipping cover/carolina rig if I ever do it
  18. under $120...Pflueger Trion maybe, have never used one but have heard good things. I had an '08 Energy that I got for $80 last Christmas when they went on sale. A good reel at an even better price, kinda bulky though. I would say if you can find a "Power" Energy on eBay for around that then buy it.
  19. The actions on the 6'10''MH Carrot Stix Gold and 7'MH Lucky Craft run slower than stated. The Gold acts as a M with a M-F action and the Lucky Craft is Fiberglass, the action on it is tricky, it's rather soft at the tip but transitions faster than a moderate action. All Powell Max rods, with the exception of their two cranking series rods, come in a XF action so there's not really a choice there but I like it with co-poly to get a better hookset for flipping since I don't use braid. I like faster actions for contact and single hook baits.
  20. depends on what kind of fishing you do and what kind of reel you want, any reel can be used for flipping, it's really just an approach but is usually associated with heavy cover, in which case a MH might not cut it. I would suggest a high gear ratio with a high IPT rating. If you're looking for a flipping switch I would say don't worry with it but the new accurist has one.
  21. For cranks and topwater I would say either a 6'6''M or 7'M Cranking Stick, have used both, the 6'6'' is better for smaller cranks while the 7' is better for deeper cranks.

  23. what # test line are you using with those baits and is that what you keep spooled on the toro ??? 20lb CXX and 70lb Stren Sonic Braid for Musky
  24. I just switched from a 7'6''H Castaway Big Show to a Powell 766. The reason I did was that I found out I don't like braid and the Powell has a XF action compared to the slower action of the Castaway.
