Can you emphasize this point from you're own personal experince? Have two, a gold and ltx, no problems with either.

I have never payed full retail on any of my equipment. My most recent deal was either a new Stradic CI4 for $160 or Daiwa Zillion Rod for $175. I have also got a Sol for $130, many Patriarchs for $103-130, Zillon for $150, Carrot Stix Gold for $125, and many more

Of the ones you have listed, I have only used the Dark Angel. I have a 7'm spinning rod paired with a Stradic CI4 and would recommend it to anyone. Don't have any complaints with it.

Definitely not my choice for a bait. Have heard a few guys around here catching big bass that cough up copperheads and cottonmouths

I use mine as jig trailers, they swim really well

I know....I stepped over 3 coiled copperheads year before last getting to a fishing spot...didn't know they were there until I turned around to go back because I couldn't get through the mud. With a rattler you can atleast hear when you make them mad, but if you are close enough to a copperhead to smell cucumbers, then you're already too close. Right after the hatch is a really bad time for copperheads back home, lots of dogs die from baby copperhead bites. They don't discriminate or hold any venom back, whether you're big or small, you get it all.

I don't have much experience with them but from wat I can tell they are a bit heavy

the rods have serial numbers that let them know when they were manufactured. Buddy tried to get an extreme fixed not long ago, the girl at the service desk told him it was over three years old from the serial#

Had the same thing happen to me, had the rod a little over a year, insert fell out so I took it in. They said the rod could not be exchanged or repaired because it was too old and purchased from the website, apparently the store and websites are two different entities, no returns, prices don't match, and the stores give greif over matching the website price. One guy said no repair or returns, the other overheard, came and asked about the problem, and said "give me ten minutes." He retipped with a fuji hardloy, apparently they only carry one size tip, and it's huge but it was free.

bought some today a Dick's, the smaller puppy size. All I can say is it was a good try, I mean, it's a good idea but the action is lacking in open water, only place I could try them out. The problem I found was that they float slightly tail up, I'm guessing it's because of the weight of the hook. This variation from a spook, that float slightly head up, causes the bait to dive slightly under the surface once a good walking pattern is achieved, seemed to do this 5-7 turns into the pattern and then roll over, causing the walk to stop, this was with the rod tip down. When retrieved tip up, the baits head would pop up, hindering the walking action and pulling the bait straight. I would say the action is decently good over weeds, kinda like walking a frog where a constant action isn't as important. but that's just my take on them.

I've heard they balance perfectly with zillion reels but mine feels pretty awesome with a Revo Premier (6.35oz) on it. Well....mine is matched with an alphas103....if I'm not mistaken, that's around 6.4oz, and is a wonderfull match, feels like they were made to go together. I have an SHA that I haven't tried on it yet but the Alpha is gonna be hard to beat

Went musky fishing for the first time this weekend and can say that the St. Croix Premier Musky Rod is a good rod. Went out with the notion that my 7'9''H swimbait rod and 7'6''H flipping stick would be sufficient for the task, needless to say, if I plan on doing it again, I will purchase a musky specific setup. These two rods held their own but definitely could have been easier with the right setup.

I think it looks kinda like a revo premier :-?

Is it even available yet....I know cabelas says they have it but most of the time with newer reels you try to purchase them and they say they are on back order until they are out

The tourney special baits are worth the price but not a penny more, cheap components, ho-hum action and colors. The lipless cranks are pretty good for throwing when you know you're gonna loose one.

I don't use the gammy octopus anymore, just didn't hook up like i should. Now I use the owner mosquito hooks with no problems, I think I have 1s and 2s

I fish the BPS XPS weedless tube jig heads with the renegade rattles from walmart. They aren't as good as glass rattles but are cheap and disposable.

I recently found out that I don't like braid. I found it to be more of a hassle than it's worth. I prefer a copolymer for all of my apps, p-line cxx to be specific. I use 10-12lb for cranks, 12lb for spinnerbaits and topwater, 12-15lb for bottom baits (trigs and jigs),and 20lb for flipping jigs and trigs in cover and swimbaits.

revo s doesn't come in a high speed but probably would, I have a revo s and had some problems with it
