  1. 8lb is ok in CXX, that's what I crank with but I wouldn't fish less than 12lb CXX
  2. I throw mine on a few different setups, depending on what I have with me. What I use the most is a 7'H-F Kistler Magnesium with 17lb CXX on a Patriarch 71LP. I also use a 7'MH-F Magnesium, 15lb CX, and now a 64LP Patriarch; 7'MagH-F Powell, 15lb CX, and Quantum Energy Burner.
  3. If your fishing a crankbait it's not really gonna matter all that much.
  4. Powershotting is one of the hottest techniques for big fish on the tourney trail....Big Baits for Big Bass....Fishin on the edge BABY...WOOOOO
  5. Why would the price drop? was wondering the same thing...didn't the price already drop from the D
  6. The way I took it from the start was that was just for the crankin series but I guess not they also look like a pencil with that cork butt
  7. Man that thing would look sweet strapped to my Dark Angel
  8. At the local Dicks SK, Zoom, Lucky Craft, GYCB, and Rapala have all been 20% off for a while.
  9. It's a good bait. The Owner Cultiva Rip N' Minnow and Savory Shad are pretty good baits too.
  10. Not all Wal-Marts carry Pflueger spinning reels, the ones I've been to only carry the Asaro baitcaster, I kinda wish they did though, I'd have a few more spinning setups. The President is always my recommendation for an affordable spinning reel, I feel its the best in the price range, but I have never really fished many Shimano spinning reels. I have a friend that has a Sahara and really likes it.
  11. For finesse (shakey head, weightless, dropshotting) I use a 7'M spinning rod with and extra fast action. For worms (T-rigs) I use a 7' Casting rod, usually Heavy, for lighter wieghts and smaller worms I will use either a MH or a M 7' Casting rod.
  12. I would recommend the Pflueger President, original blue, and the Supreme. Have fished the President a long time and just recently got a Supreme but haven't fished it because I need a rod for it.
  13. The tail floats good on a shakey head
  14. Was in London for New Years a few years ago and the percentage of larger people is noticably smaller than that of larger amercan cities. Of course, you'll always find a fat sweaty guy on the tube that will sit right next to you.
  15. Hand poured worms usually float. I've found tht alot of worms that are said to float, don't, even some labeled as floating worms.
  16. I have both JJs and megastrike and like them both. JJs permiates and lasts a long time, usually longer than the bait. They are completely different products and hard to compare. Both are great.
  17. I love your bluegill and warmouth baits...that craw is nice too
  18. wow...they are really blurring the line between Pflueger and Abu with the newer models here and in Japan.
  19. I don't see why they wouldn't be, some pretty big names that are available at most major outlets.
  20. thats www.predatorbassbaits.com you're thinking of. also try www.crankbaitcomponents.com <-- they sell some pretty neat stuff, including a few swimbait blanks (magic swimmer, king shad,) That's it...thanks
  21. Two infront and two behind the reel...unless I'm working a shakey head and then, for some reason, I hold the rod with all fingers infront of the reel, I have no idea why though
  22. There's nothing set in stone about what to fish on a shakey head. I recently had success with a Berkley chigger craw. As long as it will stand up
