SOL or FUEGO
Ive had both, prefer the sol for my intended application. The fuego is a good all around reel and the 6.x speed, a little heavier and bulkier than the sol but still lighter and smaller than other reels of its time. I sold my fuego but kept my sol. I use the sol for shallow cranks, jerkbaits, and some smaller topwaters like the zara puppy. It excels in these applications and paired with a 6'10''MH Gold Carrot Stix, it feels like it weighs next to nothing. Like Raul said, not alot of line capacity, I use 10lb line on mine and can cast out the entire spool with a 3/4oz bait.

Element 21® Original Carrot Stix
I like mine, have an LTX and a Gold (not the classic gold). As light as you could possibly want and still feel comfortable with the right reel. The sensitivity of the gold surpasses the LTX but that's not surprising.

Is it true?
agreed, but there is a lot of wear from fishing a crankbait because of the constant reeling, sees much more action than a reel for worms or the such

Dobyns and Powell
I only have experience with the Dobyns Mike Long Swimbait Rod 7'9''MH and the Powel 704c, 705c, and 766c, none to actually compare similarities BUT the Mike Long rod is extremely light, lighter than the 766c and close to if not lighter than the 705c. Just my little bit of input.

revo sx
I personally can't stand the brakes on the SX. I have fished with both speeds and think its the biggest problem of the reel. It sucks because you get it set and then one little thing throws it all off. My advice is to crank up the Mag brake, crank up the cast control, then back the cast control of slowly to find your comfort zone.

- Heddon spooks or lc gunfish?
The original spook is right up there on my list. I like the way it sits and walks alot better as opposed to other baits like the sammy, never fished a gunfish.- Shimano Citica D or Citica E. If given a choice, which one??
I would go for the E, the last time I was at walmart in paintsville, it didn't seem as if they were going to lower the prices anytime soon, the Curado was still over $200.- stuck for 2009 baitcaster: tierra vs. curado
I depends on how fast you want to fish, the Curado comes in the E5 and E7 and the Tierra comes in a 6.3:1, dead in the middle of the two Curado's. I have one of each of the Curado's, I don't have a tierra but have a sol, I think the Tierra may be of a larger body size, it's more than an ounce bigger than the Sol. If I were to choose between the two it would be based on the gear ratio that I was wanting, Curado for fast or slow, Tierra for inbetween, all around reel.- Automatic Line Guide Centering
Geez, I'm already down to 5.5 oz, I guess the guide would take off another .1 oz and the worm gear another .2 oz. :-? You're down right spooled- Does sensitivity on rod really matter?
Even though the line is what is in contact with the bait, the rod makes a difference. Take two rods at the oopposite ends of the spectrum and see which feels better bites.- Mid to high end spinning rod purchase.
If its a ratchet down seat then yes, and they can be quiet annoying. but looking at them, I don't think they are the same....unless it was a specific rod that is different from the majority- New college students...
Man wish I would have known about this 4 years ago, granted they were around then.- Automatic Line Guide Centering
I would think that if the guide automatically centered and didn't oscilate, you would end up with a bulge of line in the middle of the spool.- Ho Hum Mono vs. Fluoro
You always hear that flouro stretches less but it is entirely untrue. It does, in fact, strech just as much and some cases more when dry. It does, however, resist soaking up the water which causes mono to strch more.- Crankin hookset...
That's just fishing, you're bound to lose one every once in a while. It seems like the big ones have more leverage against the treble hooks when jumping or shaking.- Buffalo Wild Wings
I'm quiet happy to stay off the hot scale with a nice Garlic Parm wrap.- Need help choosing a casting reel
The Curado would do very well on the Cumara. Zillion wouldn't be bad either though.- Stung by a catfish, cured by his bellie
yeah, it works...a little gross but works very well.- SCORE! Abu Garcia Vendetta Rod From Tacklewarehouse
