Burly- I'm sure you did not mean to drive Muddy away but I think it is explained rather well what is required of your dealings with him in the future to be bump free and non offensive. Pushing buttons will lead to banning, now that the issue has been brought to public attention. Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with you as a member,...at all, it just appears that 2 personalities have not melded and out of 10,000 guys, that ain't bad. With no shad, and a 50% rock bottom, craws are a major forage here. any craw trailer works, I'm not picky. I do like the strike king 3x craw trailer only because they never rip, but the claws stick together. Can't go wrong with yum trailer. lately I have been using the craws from ***, they all work, if anything, experiment with different SIZE trailers and see what's good for your lake. Some folks like using twin tail grubs, Brush hawgs, beavers, etc. mix it up and find something you throw with the highest confidence and that will usually be the one that works best.

Have you considered the Hookerz hooks or the mustad ultra point or X-point?

Being on disability for 7 months last year had me casting a little too much. (hehehe) I started using it at the end of the season and by winter, it was resolved. Felt it act up again this spring, wore the brace, all better. Funny what a little pressure in the right place will do. Kinda like Muddy's hit men. Yes, I know Muddy's hit men well, Avid had them pay me a visit after my comments about his daughter...... :'(

Oceangirl is the name of an up and coming rod company. They are working with the women's side of bass fishing, catering to the needs of the female angler as far as design and build go. They sponsored Delainey this year and set her up with a series of hand made rods. This is their niche. No rack rods, all hand built. A cool note. The builder wasn't there the day of the news coverage to deliver the rods, Delainey already had them. He came all the way down to explain to the group gathered , exactly what goes into the design and build of their rods. It was literally, a lakeside tech session with one of the builders himself. Not somet6hing you see from a company every day. Of course they were there to wish the Jr's "good Luck" like the rest of us too but I was impressed with the individual attention given. Pretty cool. Getting the thumbs up from this class of people was worth mentioning to Flechero seeing as how this is his hobby and passion, I'm sure he appreciates it.

This is dumpster. I've had him just over 9 yrs. He's very well behaved, has an appetite or just about anything you give him. Heed Rauls advice, 2 Oscars, minimum of 150 gallons. Also, If you do 2 Oscars, you need to buy them as babies and raise them together. Otherwise, you'll see a fish fight like you've never seen. You'll end up with a dead fish or a busted tank or both. Oscars are a great fish to own. Very sturdy but like any fish, you need to keep up on maintenance.

This year, we have fished the night much more than any other time (90%) I'm in RI and we are doing an avg of a 4 hr shift. We AVG roughly 15 fish / trip as a team with at least 1 fish over 4 lbs every 3 hrs or so. (again all totals are for 2 person team) Largest this yr is 7.11 "Most" fish was during the pre-spawn/spawn we had days of 60+ fish in 4 hrs. Once April hits, we will not leave the lake with a skunk in the boat, no matter what. So far, so good.

Nope, that's a HUGE squirrel,lol ;D I'm sure he blamed ALL of this on the wife as well, right? lol I wouldn't want to be in THAT truck for the ride home. My apartment now smells like your house!! Brent sent a pic to me once of his garage, 10,000 baits is no joke. I brought up the heat issue and Brent explained what they went through to find the melting point for the plastics. It was close to 390 degrees!! No worries!

You can also feather a spinning reel. You are essentially slowing the bait down before it reaches the water surface. I personally aim for a big splash.

Personally, an ugly stick would be the last rod I would use in heavy cover. You need a rod with backbone to move the fish. Not knocking ugly sticks, just saying. Best advice here is to wait till you feel the weight before you swing on her.
