  1. MY FISH!! ;D I'm pretty sure he didn't measure length, neither of us ever have. Especially when we accidentally grab one full of egg, I'm sure he was shaking just trying to weigh her and get her back in the water.
  2. I know Muddy well, and that's from the heart right there. Drama attracts more drama.
  3. Check out the "My tournament or outting" section, happens all the time.
  4. If you use 5/8, you can go seat to seat w/o any bracing.
  5. I don't have a cut-off date but asap is best. Manufacturers are great but what I'm really looking for are tackle shop stickers, the free ones that advertise shop name, number, location. You know the ones. ANY fishing sticker sent, will be used but those are the golden ones I really really need to make this work. Saltwater shops too!! All you Fla guys, there's one every block! Thanks
  6. Keith, no worries, we rinse everything extra well. I will get some pics for you in that format, that rod will be my primary Bluefish rod once they come in (any day now, stragglers are showing up and this yrs batch are huge) That rod will be PERFECT (in other words, slightly less than what you should be using, lol) CAN'T WAIT! (Keith-I have some freshwater shots like that if interested I'll send you a few, no BIG fish yet though)
  7. Well, it's not Muddy's recipe but here's my recipe for sauce. put a couple teaspoons of olive oil in the sauce pot. Add 1 bulb (not clove) chopped garlic. Slightly cook garlic, just till softer but not browned. add 3 cans "ground peeled" tomato's (Pastene) 3 bay leaves 1 cup chopped parsley (fresh, flat leaf, not curly) 1/2 sprig rosemary (stripped from stem) salt & pepper Simmer, cover on 1.5 hrs, stir frequently remove lid, simmer 1.5 more hours Leftovers can be frozen
  8. guys, don't sell yourselves short in thinking finesse tactics are only for gun shy bass!! Not at all. Some of our biggest fish come on tiny morsel offerings.
  9. man,...if it ain't workin',...rig it backwards! (RW's new bumper sticker) Way to adapt buddy! (perhaps they are more durable due to a manufacturing necessity?? I'm thinking with the little appendages, they may have had to use a finer salt or more hardener? )
  10. Awesome JB, looks like you are having a banner spring!!
  11. I have Gamma on one of my saltwater spinning reels, no issues.
  12. or a circuit breaker (about 1 ft from battery) The circuit breaker costs a bit more but is "reset-able". Stinger electronics makes some good ones for 12v.
  13. They are ok but for the $$, I would much prefer a jon boat. (and when the seam starts to leak on those, they aren't so easy to launch alone
  14. If you don't use Yamamoto,....don't worry about it.
  15. 3/0-5 in 4/0-6 in
  16. pinch the head off into the water and have a specific place for the butts on your boat. All our trash, line, butts go in the rear area with the batteries. When we back down to the parking spot, the "stop marker" is a trash barrel. Just have a plan for trash and it's much easier to keep a boat in ship shape.
  17. long cast gets the bass (spinning gear, light line)
  18. Something better than "cool" Gotta trust me on this one.
  19. OK folks, I need some favors. Everyone has a favorite tackle shop at home. A place where your memories come from. The place with a sweet aroma at 5am that makes you ultra calm yet super excited all at the same time. A place you associate with the word "Hometown". I need stickers. I need bumper stickers, shop stickers, manufacturer stickers, anything you can get your hands on. Most shops have a pile of them on the counter, if you could please grab a few and stick them in an envelope for me, I would really appreciate it. Send to: CAST For Kids Foundation 21 division st. suite 5 East Greenwich, RI 02818 These stickers have a purpose, trust me on this one. [move]THANK YOU[/move]
  20. I know it looks like that but I dated this girl. I guarantee she is trying to get the bubble gum out of her hair and the cell phone out of her ear.
  21. cool vid!! suggestion- Leave more line out and keep hand on rod handle when landing fish. Holding the tip or holding the rod a foot from the tip is going to get you a broken rod one of these days.
