This guides name wouldn't happen to be "Pavlov", would it?

Last fish of the year?
Man, that's one way of turning around a bad day of work. Not that the work was bad but getting a PB on the way home can erase anything that happened before it!! When spring comes, if you're going to be into jigging, try the smaller (1/8oz.) hair jigs for those ice out smallies!

Kansas Deer Down !!
Nice harvest! I just got back from my buddy's house, he hit one today about the same size, a bit smaller. I got a tenderloin with this batch again!! The stew I made with the last batch was just downright gut warmin'. The tenderloin was served with eggs. I think I'll grill this one.

My cat is in love
With Dirk_Jig-Lure!! Whenever I put him on speakerphone, I would notice that she would roll all over it and nuzzle it etc. I'm gonna film it and mix in some Barry White, lol.

Trolling Motor Vibration
Between Dirk and I we have 4 endura 55's. Like Avid, I constantly adjust the length to be condusive to where I am and what I'm doing. If I get vibration at any depth (and this does happen periodically), I pull the prop and remove the line that is surely wrapped on the shaft. Keep a few shear pins and nuts in your tackle box also.

Lure Suggestions for tommorow?
As mentioned in Bass fishermans post, this time of year, I would take 1 rod and 1 lure (bring more in case you lose it,..just sayin') And stick with it.

why do some bass have spots?
?? In my lake, you can catch them in all color variations. Diamonds, no diamonds, black backs, light backs, gold bellies and white. Depends where they were sitting and what they were doing. As to how fast they can change, put a vibrantly colored fish in your livewell and check him out in 10 minutes. May not be drastic, but you will see a difference. Bass best-By I think by "spots", he was reffering to the diamond patterning.

Need advice for this time of year.
Yup, when things get tough, somthing I learned in skiing after a bad crash, is a thing called "back to basics" Bring it back to being simple, like in RW's post for new members. 1 rod, 1 lure. Forget about your goal,....catching a fish after 4 times of getting skunked. Your new goal is to learn that 1 lure like it was the tip of your nose. You may get surprised and have somthing pulling back Good luck, stay at it. OT-what's left to do on your boat? I see the pic of it in the avatar but havn't seen any other pics or threads about it. did I miss a thread?

Getting my first tatoo.
I always wanted a tribal armband but I want it made of fish hooks. So far, 2 artists have told me it can't be done. Then, one day watching saturday morning fishing, there it was. Some guy in Fla had the exact same thing I wanted but supposedly can't be drawn. Any artists out there that think they can draw one up for me? Tipp- Honorable idea, take your time. However, always remember that the best way to honor your dad is to be the best you can be in every way, every day. I bet you sure miss him and I feel for you. Dad's are special, TELL them before they move on!

Is this change of life or what?
Oh,..they're out there, some of us have had better examples than others when we were growing up. Not putting anyones parents down, not at all, but my parents have been best friends now for 58 yrs. Married for 39 of them. When you grow up around that kind of relationship, you can recognize it better when you see it. I just never found anyone who made me feel about them, the way I can SEE how my mom feels about my dad, or how Fluke feels about his wife, or how Kevin feels about Tera. They ARE out there, and frankly, I'm a bit jealous of them, but knowing , for sure, what it SHOULD be, I could never settle for less. I wouldn't do that to myself and I wouldn't want to do that to anyone else.

Megastrike, giving me trouble
Yes, very popular as a lube/attractant for swimbaits but not good for skirts.

Lure Suggestions for tommorow?
Well, 2-4 ft visibility isn't very clear water at all. Could barely be termed "clear". That's kind of irrelevant now anyway. I would switch out that worm for a swimbait. Your temp should be in the mid 40's

Cold weather fishing- be prepared
Seems obvious but I gotta mention Common sense. This is no time of year for horseplay in the boat or being the cool guy who's not afraid to walk out on the ice first. DON'T BE THAT GUY!

Cold weather fishing- be prepared
jdw- The Cabela's guidewear is a full gore-tex suit. A well made one for the $ too, otherwise you'd be a cold ball of sweat! For those that don't use a waterproof/breathable outer layer, be sure to stay aware of your perspiration level. Sweat can ruin a day fast. The biggest key to keeping your extremeties warm is to keep the core warm. Two main Heating points are the kidneys and neck. Places where the largest veins are closest to the surface. It's also a well known fact that alot of heat is lost through the top of your head. A hat is a good thermostat for sweat control also.

Just need to vent!!!!!!!!
Kidding. just a reminder as the holidays approach,....... DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!! And don't forget to use this time of year to tell those close to you how much they mean to you.

Is this change of life or what?
I'm not married and most likely never will be but when you meet a couple like Kevin and Tera (basschaser57), where you can see without looking, that they are best friends, it still gives me hope. Best friends first and the rest would fall into place I should think. Again, I have zero experience with marriage but that's only because I wouldn't settle for someone that wasn't my very bestest friend. Perhaps having your hubby read this thread can help? If he's defensive, well,.....you've found a place to start. Good luck.

Major meteor showers tonight
Exactly,....low light conditions and stop action photography just don't mix without big money equipment.
