BH- I'll get this on a few of the other New England forums for you.
  3. the "visual" also works with white (most waters)
  4. I'll take a steady barometer over cloud cover, wind, etc.
  5. If any member sees an attack or is attacked directly, please consult a mod as this is the site that DOES NOT allow that stuff. If someone is insulted by another persons opinion,....sometimes that's a tricky one, but in general, if you attack a member,...I attack you. Your call. We have a huge appreciation for our members and will not tolerate anyone with malice on their mind. If you see it, report it. That's what the "alert a mod" button is for, don't be shy, use it.
  6. Those fish should have "spawn" in mind, look for beds
  7. The thermocline is a layer of water, temp related but dissolved oxygen and other factors also come into play. Yes it will affect the fish below, in or above it. You need a high end color graph that is designed to mark temp layers. I'm clueless w/ the freshwater finders but my Furuno would show them perfectly, but again, that's a $5k unit. It can be found in lakes that stratify (turn over) and in the ocean I wouldn't stress on it, just fish
  8. GW- Are you still throwing the original as much? If you could choose 1, for business purposes, which would you have on the boat? I've yet to throw one personally. Anyone other than GYCB make 'em yet?
  9. It was removed from the site filters as many pro anglers are using it to network as well as many of our tournament guys here. Other than that, if you have children, it's up to you to oversee where they surf. MySpace is one place no kid of mine would ever be allowed to have an account with. This site leaves you extremely vulnerable to internet predation. But again, this is a parents responsibility. The dangers involved are directly related to how naive your child is. Most, are VERY naive. Nothing against the youth, we can only expect them to know the things WE TEACH THEM. Daiwa- You need a quick education on how to protect yourself online. I have some good reading for your parents if they are interested but you, in particular, are a WIDE OPEN target. Be careful. This is nothing personal towards Daiwa, but you guys need to really use your head when it comes to this stuff,...."It'll never happen to me" isn't a smart way to view the internet. Protect yourselves please!!!!!
  10. Um,.....bad news bud,....this is "Spawn" time,....that wasn't pee. :-? ;D Yup, makes a great rim treatment on a margarita too. Keeps lips from getting chapped and from what I'm told, it stings like a mother when it gets in your eyes. ;D
  11. Wish I were there,....THAT won't happen again,....Kentucky '09!!
  12. Please do. I know lots of us would like to share in his memory. My condolences.
  13. He's got your back Burley, but I think this is more of a "poke fun at" than an "attack". Either way, in Burley style,....I'm letting it stay up,lol
  14. $2 by end of year, awesome, I'll be able to go fishing in '09 Seriously, I have the time, I just can't afford the gas bill to go back and forth as much as I want to.
  15. well put Bill
  16. PS- CJ- In Terias avatar,..... .........either you have HUGE guns or you need to stop hunting small dogs with antlers, lol Wassup with that? Jackalope?
  17. lol,...I said "tap on the shoulder" to avoid the fourth tap. That's where the ref is tapping you out if you cuff your wife in the head! ;D
  18. 1. CJ- Ya done good bud 2. Catt's famous 3 tap rule--- 1st tap is the fish sucking in your bait 2nd tap is the fish spitting out your bait 3rd tap is me tapping you on the shoulder asking why you didn't set the hook on the first tap????!!!! Some excellent advice from a number of folks here, way to go guys. Good luck Teria
  19. I'll vouch for that,lol,....While I'm here, I guess I can also vouch for some of those nicks and scratches too, lol. Robert is no mizer with his luxury gear, he'll let any of his guests use the good stuff. Nothing worse than someone who buys all the good stuff but is afraid to use it or cries if it gets scratched, Robert knows those marks just add Karma and character. Looking forward to trying that one now too, lol.
  20. Raul, he still thinks those skewers were beef ;D :
