The one toy not allowed behind my boat is a tube. It's one thing if you intend to "tote" around the kids but another if it is being used as an excitement ride. I was educated young when it comes to these. I lost a close friend in High school, broken neck from being spit off a tube. The thing that makes a tube different from the other toys, i.e. wakeboard, kneeboard, skis, is that it is an UN-controlled fall as opposed to the others, where you see it coming and can either tuck and roll or at least duck your shoulder. With a tube, when you get flung off, you skip across the water like a stone and God forbid if an arm is facing the wrong way or even worse, your head.

Watch THIS Wacky, always. My reasoning is that I want the max action on every cast. I let it sink, lift it once and let it sink again. If no hit, get it in and get it back out there. Just like Falcon.

Alan, thanks for the offer Massilver- I got your email and that's awesome (for you). I think we will use the jon as there is no ramp here,...it is a roadside launch and I'm assuming the mirrocraft is a V hull? The flat bottom will launch easier if so. So, just so we are all on the same base, we are filming Sunday, the 25th.. Massilver and I will arrange to meet earlier that week or maybe even this week if time allows. Mike, what time would you want to meet? You will be aiming for exit 5 on rt 295. Greenville, RI. I will meet you just off the exit.

I usually start shortly after the spawn. They say 60 degrees is the magic number (water temp) but during the spawn, they want nothing to do with anything that is not IN the nest. So,....another month tops.

Not a lot of experience here FC, but there is a new (to me) 05 4 runner in the driveway. I absolutely love it and after disassembling the entire interior the 1st week, I will go so far as to say that this car came apart and went back together very similar to those of German engineering. I've taken apart a lot of interiors and this one impressed me as to the thought given to the things most folks will never "see".

No size and certainly nothing to compare with you guys, but we caught ALOT of fish on beds, a good 25+ in 4 hrs. I agree John,lol....I must have missed the episode where Tin, w-dog and the other "big dogs" went to the Classic. : I'm not Joel's biggest fan, for my own personal reasons but I won't knock him as an angler. Getting to the classic takes more than luck and good sponsors. But as for the spawn,....you guys need better glasses! I'm in the same boat with bassectomy. High sun and here they come. Has to be a sunny morning too. Nothing pairing up yet but at least 1/2 to 3/4 of the fish we are seeing are being caught. They are spooking but come right back,....sit tight and be a bit more patient. I've been using a matt lures bluegill to bring them BACK to the bed, then I pull it and drop a trick stick,...been working like a charm. I'm usually not a big spawn fisherman, Tin will be giving me a hard time I'm sure, but this year they are a little more challenging to figure out so I've been really into it and sure enough, I'll swear by bassectomy's words on this one. I bet B-hole is finding the same at his place in Johnston too. His fish were in the same stages as ours, last time we spoke. It's a PERFECT year to employ the spark plug trick but we haven't stooped that low yet : ;D

Pretty much the same thing for my buddy eric and his wife. She has to accept who you are,....a "good" wife, just learns how to use that to get what SHE wants Don't be fooled,lol. Every girl I have ever dated understood "me" or they never made it. I can tell pretty quickly if they are just saying they are ok with it just to say what you want to hear. Any girl that ever stayed around for any amount of time, became a fishing partner,....some of them got pretty good and still fish to this day. The problem there is that they get jealous that you want to fish with the buds and not them. Tricky,...be careful what you ask for,lol. As for your situation, my advice (and it may not be the best,...remember, I'm 40 and single,lol) would be to sit her down and explain to her how much it means to you and that you NEED to be with someone who supports your happiness or you will not be able to do the same in return. Communicate these issues now or before you know it, you'll be married to someone who resents you.
