  1. I thought Team Depends just use velcro now a day's? No need to bend over for long periods of time.
  2. My old fishing friend and I tied his boat up to some brush and started to hit the honey hole. well I went for an overhead cast, got the hook stuck in the brush and birds nested the crap out of the reel. To make it even worse, I did it again on the back up set up! Good thing I used cheap mono back then..
  3. Accurate has spinning reels out now, if you wanna pay high dollar for a spinning reel. I havn't caught anyhing noteworthey on my Avet SX yet either, but some 3-4 pound sand bass in Ensenada (Only cause it was the lightest set up i took on the trip).Deckhands look down on ya using such a small reel on Tuna. The cocaptain told me to leave that set up in the rack going for Albacore, even though it could handle it.
  4. Well one thing with a penn reel is your gonna get Carbontex washers (HT 100) with every reel. Same material where Smoothdrag.com gets their material. Penn is a company that gets it!
  5. Thanks Francho,I was thinking 3' leaders with swivle. I'm just over thinking this braid as main line on drop shot thing...
  6. So basically, just like all my baitcasters. what about a swivle instead of the alberto knot?
  7. I have always drop shotted with about 15 yrds of main line or so of fluoro on top of mono. This next trip out i wanna use braid as my main line on my spinning gear.I was wondering if some of you guy's that drop shot with braid can give me some tips on how long a leader to braid length. Can i pre make leaders and just change them out? I already bought 25yrds of seaguar 6# leader material.I'm just looking for advise on Braid as main line, or should i just stick to useing fluoro on top of mono which has been working for years?
  8. I would tie a knot that's gonna hold good. If you ever drop your rod and reel in the drink, you better hope your knot on the spool will hold enough for you to pull it back up.
  9. X2- bold bluegill and green weenie 4 1/2 roboworms for Dixon.
  10. Come on Fish Chris, confirm my suspicions that PP and Tuf line are made in the same factory in Colorado.I had an old package of PP and a new Tuf Line and they are made in the same town. Then I saw their breaking strengths are the same... The new Package of PP doesn't have an address on it.
  11. Has anybody seen the new prototype Curado? I guess they have given a few out to start testing. I'm guessing it's gonna be too big for fresh water, but perfect for some salt water species.
  12. X 1000 Drop your reel in the water for a period of time. Easier fix with greased bearings. Way better app. for Salt Water reels. Except spool bearings.
  13. X2 on Diamond Valley. Dixon is open 363 days a year.
  14. True story from last week on another forum... A local fisherman was bottom fishing in San Diego bay, snagged something and reeled it in. It was some sort of electronic device with a light on it (I saw pics, looked like a bomb to me).He posted the pics, and a Navy man(another fisherman) said it looks like something from the Marine Mammal's division of the Navy (dolphin training). The Navy man checked around and said he was causing an uproar in the MM division. Next day pics were off the post, and Navy went to the guy's house and picked it up.
  15. yes, they do that.. best warranty ever. Most of the time they would not charge you for anything. You must live near Irvine?
  16. I think it makes a difference in Butt length. I hate when the end of the butt gets in the way on my longer rods. I cut 3 inches off one of my 8 footers. Question is am I missing out on anything now that I did this? ( guess i should of asked before i did it).
  17. I blame it all on the west coast driver being too dominant!

Dunkin makes coffee for the Keurig.
  19. My problem was zone alarm and AVG were conflicting. All is well with Essentials, and it took away the sync problems I was having with my I-phone too.
  20. Off topic: One of the big name reel Manufactures has a line up of reels that uses the same internals on all 5 different reels in it's class. The internals are 100% the same. The frames and spools of course are different. So I bought two of the smaller reels, and now have a versatile reel, with no line capacity problems with braid. I think it was cheaper for them to make the parts and put them in all the line up of reels?
