LANDING NETS
Good reasons to carry one. I could have used one last night boating a 3.5 lb bass with a crankbait strung across it's face. Couldn't lip land him and I don't like just slinging them in the boat.

Re: Road Warrior
I agree 100%.....................it is just you. If you hang around here for awhile you'll see he is extremely helpful and has the interest of the board in mind when he deletes stuff. And I agree that calling out a MODERATOR is never a good idea.

Overpriced.com
I'm known as a pretty cheap individual but am slowly realizing that some things you pay less by paying more initially. I've got a Walmart combo that I bought my daughter (who never uses it so I do :) that I've had to return 4 times now. It was only $30.00 but I'm spending about that much in gas and time going back and forth returning it. Not to mention taking my good line off the returned one. I've also bought several Lucky Craft cranks and while they look pretty and run true, they haven't increased my catch rate over the Bandit Crank that I found. That Bandit 100 series by the way I had my first double on yesterday. I caught two fish on the same cast; a 1.5 and 1.0 pounder sandwiched tight on that bait. ;D

As a society, we're taking Darwin out of the equation and keeping too many of the stupid/unfit alive.

Well I finally figured it out
X2. Found a Bandit 100 series in a tree in the spring and it's been tearing up the bass. Airbourne, if you're finding crankbaits up in trees it probably isn't because it was dark out. Might have been a bank fisher or wader or as CWB said the level was lower so they couldn't reach it.

Scenario
Come ask Catt?............... Dunno. Guess at that time of the morning I'd throw some top waters/wake baits along the ridges and near the timber.

i sure could use some help from my friends here at br.
Be happy to oblige but how do you vote there? N/M. Clicking on the fifth bobber once you click on your pic does it.

Boy I did a dumb thing...
Seriously. Can't imagine a world without DD or Debit Cards. I'm pretty much cashless at this point. Of course having a wife and two teenagers keeps me cashless anyhow.

Bad on the lake habits
on #2 meaning facing the worm can you please explain i might be making one of my habits. but i no one of mine is frustration. As KingKoopa said; you cast out to 12:00 so keep facing where you cast that worm. In a small boat the wind pushes me around a bit and I find myself not swivelling around to face where I cast the worm. As I said, for me it's easier to maintain just a little slack in the line for sensitivity (keeping an eye on any movement) and I get a better hookup ratio being able to pull straight back or even to the left or right if I need to.

Bad on the lake habits
Went fishing for several hours yesterday and caught myself doing a number of things that were counterproductive to catching the most fish possible. 1. Got to the lake at 7:00 am and started tying on my new Lucky Craft Crankbait which dives 6-9 feet (lake is only 15 ft deep). Fishing what I want to fish instead of what the lake is telling me. 7:00 am I should be going for the topwaters or shallow running baits. 2. When fishing with a plastic worm I noticed my body wasn't facing the lure. IMO it's harder to maintain the sensitivity of the worm and harder to get a good hookset unless my body is facing the lure. 3. Making alot of noise in the boat and poor casting. probably spooked half the fish out the area I was in. Anyone else constantly struggle breaking bad fishing habits?

The Curse of The Spinnerbait

New Video! Spinnerbaits
Nicely done Glenn. Thanks for all the information. Spinnerbaits are one of my numerous weaknesses.

weight of a crankbait....................
x2. I'm still such a newb at crankbaits but I do want to be able to hit several stages of the water column so diving depth is mostly what I focus on.

**HELP** Brush Piles
Placing them in the middle of no where probably won't do any good. I think for them to be most effective you have to place them near a place you KNOW fish are going to be travelling. Try putting them near a drop off or break. Good luck.

Well its about that time to let the bass out of the bag-Megastrike
Good news there and good luck. I'm sure they'll do well. Congrats!

Lets talk buzz baits

Crankbaits
I've caught a ton of fish so far this year on a Bandit 100 series in Tennessee Shad color. I found it in the trees and it's my best producer so far this year. If you got the money buy a Lucky Craft or two.

Catch and Release?
I support catch and release but also realize it can be taken too far. You have to thin the herd or the whole herd suffers. If someone fishes legally, I don't have a problem with them keeping fish. If they're keeping the big ones to eat I kind of frown because I've heard the big ones don't taste that good anyway. About 3 weeks ago I confronted 3 guys fishing illegally in my subdivision lake (which is C & R 99.9% with you allowing to keep ONE trophy bass a year). I knew they snuck in from an adjoining subdivision and they were keeping everything they caught. I held my tongue until one reeled in a 5 lber. I told them they need to put that one back and long story short, I threaten to call the 'po-po' as they were trespassing AND poaching. They left with the fish and haven't been back. I don't keep ANYTHING out of being too lazy to clean them AND the lakes/ponds I fish out of have septic 'leech' fields that drain into them.

Unusual places you'd love to fish
I live about 5 minutes away from Wynn Pond located in Peachtree City, GA. This pond was in the movie 'Sweet Home Alabama' where the guy would fly in and out of with his plane with the 'lightning glass' he was selling. Absolutely fantastic looking place but off limits because it's owned by 'old money'. I've considered going up to one of the homes there offering to tune up their air conditioning in exchange for fishing there.

killer underwater SM feeding must see !!!!
Nice find. I'd love to find a pond/small lake with smallies in it down here in Georgia. Great fish.
