  1. Love the colors.
  2. The only thing I've been having luck on is spinnerbaits and crankbaits.
  3. You're definately at the right place to learn a thing or two. Browse the fishing articles and read post after post then ask any questions you have. You'll be catching fish in no time.
  4. Holding them vertical does not damage their jaws but, holding horizontal by the lip is bad.
  5. The best night time lures I've found to be are the jitterbug, hula popper, and buzzbait. Black. Good luck.
  6. Good idea but, the best way to weigh a fish (or anything) is with a scale. Why not invest in one if you care so much what the weight is?
  7. I've caught a dog too before. I had set my pole down when my uncle and his dog came up and was talkin and the next thing I know the dog is taking off yelpin. My spinnerbait hook went right through one of the toe pads on his foot. It was deep...had to cut the hook and slide it out. Felt kinda bad about that one.
  8. Jitterbug, Senko, and Spinnerbait. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  9. I hate it when someone calls a largemouth bass a bigmouth bass. It just sounds stupid. :-?
  10. Solid 4-5lb chunk no doubt unless this guy is really small or somethin.. nice catch.
  11. Like the guy above me said, our state record is only 11.94, one caught in 1959 and the other caught in 1934... I've never caught anything more than 3-4 pounds so it always amazes me to see those huge florida monsters some of you guys catch. A 5+ pounder is a trophy fish up here.
  12. Very nice fish. WTG both of ya!
  13. Sounds like there's some hawgs in there. Fish it!
  14. Awesome. Thanks for counting me in.
  15. Beautiful. Sounds like an awesome time. Nice pics.
  16. This year has been my most serious year and most productive. I've learned to fish soft plastics pretty good which I never really fished before. I also got more species of fish than ever before. My gear has upgraded. I've made a few baits and even caught a fish on one. I've gotten better at locating fish and structure. And most of all... I've just had a lot of fun doing it all.
  17. Glad you think so! Thanks for the tip. I'll try that next time.
  18. Thanks Marty. Yeah, I can't wait to test it out. If I was a fish, I'd eat it... I did catch a bass on my swimbait so that's why I say I'm hooked.
  19. Yeah, I glued some sheets of basswood together and cut it out with a coping saw and sanded it of course. Post a pic ptomac!
  20. First crank, third bait I've ever made. Glued mesh to it then foiled it, burnished, and painted with nail polish. Pic isn't that good but, what do you think? I think I'm hooked.
  21. Lookin good as always.
  22. Nice work. That photofinish looks awesome.
  23. You know what they say... size matters. ;D j/k I guess if it's workin for ya then stick with it!
  24. Good job getting the skunk out of the boat. Pretty looking bass, ugly looking snapper... lol bet that was fun. Keep em comin!
