  1. I know that this one is not on the poll but McCoy's Co-Poly is a great line to try, low stretch and low memory. I don't use any of the two you mentioned. Chow

  3. Well thank God I don't have to worry about that one because I have the minnow and under the right conditions, it has brought some nice fish to the top. Remember, the worst attribute a fisherman can have is a closed mind. Sure, a lot of baits out there are crap, but you need to try them out for yourself to be sure. Under the right conditions it will catch fish that's not really saying all that much. When conditions are tough is the true test of a lure. Chow

At $16 a pop for LC's I'll take my chances with a wire leader when fishing for Bass in waters where a lot of toothy critters thrive. I have had no problem using the short Berkley wire leader on Jerkbaits and Pop-R type baits the Bass in my avatar picture was caught with a Pop-R type with the mentioned leader 5lbs + not bad for NY. 7. That's what I do dink. I do alot of fishing byself so being agile is a plus. Chow
  8. I agree, I also idle past other boaters in a narrow environment and if in the main lake slow up or if they are really fay away it's warp speed. Chow
  9. Under B.A.S.S. rules those type of lures are not allowed as I understand the rules because they are self propelled. I to have received some as a gift as I was temped to sell on Ebay but I never used them and so I keep telling myself let me just try them but that never comes to pass. Charlie Morre did to a show with Chuck at Chuck's private pond and they did catch fish but in the real world I don't know. Chow

Musky inline spinnerbaits at BPS and Cabela's go for about $15 also I bought some Musky hardbaits at BPS for $15 so I don't know where the 10 times the pointer price comes from. Chow
  11. HARBAITS: Rapala, Lucky Craft & Cotton Cordell. TOPWATER: Pop R or Pop R type baits. SOFTPLASTICS: Zoom & Berkley. SPINNERBAITS: Terminator & Mepps. JIGS: Booyah.
  12. Welcome to the forum. Talk about chipped paint, If you remember the 2005 Classic KVD went to an old Rogue that had so much paint was off it looked like one of those Ghost colors that LC sells. If the outside has paint on it it will wear off. Get some X-Raps I think the color is on the inside of a clear body rather than the outside. Chow

I should have mentioned that I lost the Pointer while Bass fishing not Musky fishing and that the wire leader held up to the toothy critters that I was catching. Oh by the way a place called Camp Carol at Black, NY reported a 52" 46lb Musky on 12lb test mono wether a wire leader was used was not confirmed. Chow

I also have lost a Pointer 100 to a toothy critter at Black Lake, NY I solved the problem by using a short black wire leader made by Berkley I even use the 10lb one for hard topwater baits with little effect on it's action something for you to consider. Chow
  15. WHAT HAVE U BEEN SMOKING? 45mph with a 40hp motor on a 17' boat NO WAY!!!!! I run a 17' Tracker Targa Deep V with a 90hp motor and stainless prop and only get 42-44mph with myself, a full load and the livewell full. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

  17. I have been to the Cabela's in Hamburg, PA and to the BPS in Harrisburg, PA I do like both of them but with Cabela's being less than 1/2 hour away and BPS being over 1 hour away I do more onsite shopping at the Cabela's. I will say that BPS has more fishing gear but Cabela's has more Camping and Hunting gear plus Cabela's Aquarium rocks all over the BPS one. I do a lot of online buying from both of them.
  18. Great job to the both of you, congrats. Chow

Great pic and great fish as well congats. Chow
  20. I have done both, I'll move around to I find fish then work the area until there's no more action. I have already spent 8hrs on two areas one being about a 3 mile stretch on the Indian River at Black Lake, NY working both sides one upstream and one downstream caught fish on both sides using the Auto-Pilot on my trolling motor that alone was about 6hrs the other spot was an island fished all the way around. Sometimes running has to be used but once you find fish you need to stay and play. Chow
  21. Why don't you all just get Zoom Horny Toads and have a good time I really like these baits. Just my .02. Chow
  22. It does say that the record must be what the home state or country allows. Here in Pa private ponds, clubs, or pay to fish places are not eligible for a record as I understand the IGFA rules it would not count under it's rules as well. Chow
  23. Show me the lunkers. I would sooner catch 1 5lb Bass rather them 5 1lb Bass.
  24. Strange I don't get any spam and I do 90% of my buying over the internet I think when I opened my account some 8yrs ago I opted out of the emails. It may take some time for them to stop my advice is that every time you get one do the unsubscribe till they stop. Chow
