  1. A fish caught out of season may not count as well. In PA no record can be had for a fish caught out of season it's catch and release only you can't even put it in your livewell. I don't know what CA laws are but it may be the same there that's were the record will come from though.
  2. I never caught one but did find one leaning up against a tree when I was bank fishing back in the early 70's.
  3. A Zoom Horny Toad works on it I fished Black Lake, NY in stuff like that and the explosions on the bait were incredible. 8-)
  4. I hate to say this and I'm going to ruffle a few feathers but this issue is getting old a fish needs to be within the laws of the State or Country in which was caught to be a record and so Perry's record still stands until a legally caught fish is brought forward.
  5. I do. Get yourself a good pair of Sunglasses the $10 specials don't give you the UV protection you need Polarizing doesn't give UV protection it's a glare reducer/eliminator. I use the Solar Bats with the foam around the backside of the frames that seals out disturbing light.
  6. I use a Nikon 8800 CoolPix with 8meg and I use all 8meg makes excellent blow ups on letter 8.5" x 11" sized glossy photo paper. Nikon optics are one of the best if not the best. Expect to spend around $600 to $700 new and you won't have to buy three of them in four years like some other cameras. Uses compact flash I & II cards I use the 1GB and 2GB cards myself. I use it on my boat like any thing that works with electric care should be taken.
  7. I just got back from Black Lake, NY and the Bass there sure like it under the mats all day long the thicker it is the more they seemed to like it. 8-)
  8. I would say it's bigger than 2.5lbs I just caught a 2.5lb Bass at Black Lake, NY it looks smaller than that so I'll say about 3.0 to 3.5lbs.
  9. All right let's not get picky.
  10. If you tie a Smallmouth tail to tail to a Largemouth the Smallmouth would drown the largemouth. 8-)

    WELCOME ABOARD
  12. Sam, I have one of those rubber nets and hooks still get tangled. I always have a net on board for those really big fish otherwise I just lift them on board. 8-)
  13. When I hear Thunder or see Lighting I'm off the lake. Thunder and Lighting go hand in hand.
  14. I like both, Cabela's is 25 minutes (Hamburg, PA) away while BPS (Harrisburg, PA) is over one hour away. The Cabela's store it self blows BPS out of the water it's a stand alone store and has a much better walk through Aquarium were BPS has only one tank and BPS is attached to a Mall. BPS is geared more for Fishing and has a better fishing selection while Cabela's is geared more for Hunting & camping but has a very good fishing selection as well. Both are excellent choices. 8-) Chow The Pa Angler
  15. I'm glad I got a boat don't know how I got along without one although when I fish a small body of water such as a pond I still bank fish.
  16. Well let's do some math: There's a 128ozs in a gallon. 3.5 x 50 gives you enough for a 175ozs so if you divide 50 into 128 you would need 2.56ozs for a gallon for a 50 to 1 mix or for every 50ozs of fuel you would need 1oz of oil. You could get away with 3ozs per gallon. Hope this helps. 8-) Chow The Pa Angler
  17. I have a Power Drive with Auto Pilot and Co Pilot with the remote it seems to react faster then the foot peadal why I don't know. I don't use the foot pedal because I found it to be a triping hazard on night trips and with a 17' Deep V the front deck is not as big as a Bass boats front deck of the same size. I have no problem fishing docks with it. I do keep the foot peadal on board as back up. Chow The Pa Angler
  18. I'm a member, SAVE YOUR MONEY..... It's not worth the cost hasn't taught me anything just get the Bassmaster Magazine, Bassin Magazine and/or In-Fisherman or feed the Bait Monkey with the savings. > Chow The Pa Angler
  19. Awesome video I totally enjoyed it. Gives you a look at what you don't normally see when you are fishing COOL.
  20. Welcome back
  21. Cheap sunglasses don't give you the UV protection you need. Polarizing is a glare reducer. UV protection is another process to the lens. Do your eyes a favor now and they won't fail you later. GET A GOOD PAIR(S) OF SUNGLASSES. I use Solar Bats. AWESOME GLASSES. 8-) Chow The Pa Angler
  22. I tried the Bass Resource calculator and a length of 24" and a girth of 2" gave a weight of 3.9lbs, a length of 24" and a girth of 10" gave a weight of 3.9lbs, a length of 24" and a girth of 15" was 3.9lbs, a length of 24" and a girth of 17" was 3.9lbs and a length of 24" and a girth of 20" was you guessed it 3.9lbs something is wrong with this calculator and I did reset every time. It was for a Walleye. Chow The Pa Angler
