I have two C-Forces and I love them. Smooth drag, very nice reels. I've also had their Finesse reels. For $50, they're nice too.

MLF is the MOST informative fishing show on Television. No sales pitches, no scripts. You learn a lot from MLF if you can read between the lines.

Since Verizon dropped Outdoor Channel, I really no longer have a need for cable. I was thinking of buying a yearly subscription to ProPatterns "Exposed" series. Does anyone have it? What's your take on it?

A 7' MH is fine for either. I fish the 130 a lot. It was my little secret, but I guess the secrets out now... 50lb braid is my preference.

That's a huge question to answer, so I'll keep my answer short: both. Both have their place. Sidescan when idling to find features/structure, down imaging to get a better view/vertical presentations. both have their place.

I've caught 1.5lb bass on the 130. I also watched a 5lber rip a 130 out of a pickerel's mouth at the boat. Lol

No one is saying that the round reels are are being discontinued. If Abu is looking to trim some fat, they should look to the Max line and replace it with more low-end Orra offerings.

I think that would be suicide for them, unless they add a few high-end Orra's. But why would you discontinue your best seller? Who uses round reels anymore? That move just wouldn't make sense.

How does your club raise money? I'd like to hear some different ways. My old club in Wisconsin used to do minnow races for kids and make thousands. Some clubs host tournaments. My club now sells raffle tickets, which i feel there is a better way. I'd like to hear from you.

Sounds like you need braid. I'd go at least 50lb. Use at least a 4/0 heavy duty ewg hook, and finally the right Rod: 7' MH minimum, H would be better. Good luck!

I used to work at Basin Harbor Clib in Vergennes. Otter creek gets loaded with smallies in June when they spawn. Great shoreline fishing then. But launch your 'yak and head to to waterfalls for some awesome year round fishing. I never spent much time in Burlington, but Champlain itself is legendary. Have fun!

I'm considering buying a boat with a '97 Johnson Venom 225 on it. They look like they're in great shape, but my buddy has an early 90's Johnson with nothing but problems. I'm looking for anyone with any experience or information on the reliability of these outboards. I don't want to buy a lemon. Thank you!
