  1. I have two C-Forces and I love them. Smooth drag, very nice reels. I've also had their Finesse reels. For $50, they're nice too.
  2. MLF is the MOST informative fishing show on Television. No sales pitches, no scripts. You learn a lot from MLF if you can read between the lines.
  3. Since Verizon dropped Outdoor Channel, I really no longer have a need for cable. I was thinking of buying a yearly subscription to ProPatterns "Exposed" series. Does anyone have it? What's your take on it?
  4. I want to say that maybe it's a typo and it's supposed to be 8'-12'?
  5. It depends on the state. In PA and MD, must be hooked inside the mouth.
  6. Fishing those waters, get the yellow perch pattern. It's my favorite!
  7. A 7' MH is fine for either. I fish the 130 a lot. It was my little secret, but I guess the secrets out now... 50lb braid is my preference.
  8. Where can I watch older episodes? YouTube has three total episodes. That's it. I'm looking for Internet streaming video. Thanks!
  9. That's a huge question to answer, so I'll keep my answer short: both. Both have their place. Sidescan when idling to find features/structure, down imaging to get a better view/vertical presentations. both have their place.
  10. I've caught 1.5lb bass on the 130. I also watched a 5lber rip a 130 out of a pickerel's mouth at the boat. Lol
  11. No one is saying that the round reels are are being discontinued. If Abu is looking to trim some fat, they should look to the Max line and replace it with more low-end Orra offerings.
  12. I think that would be suicide for them, unless they add a few high-end Orra's. But why would you discontinue your best seller? Who uses round reels anymore? That move just wouldn't make sense.
  13. Duckett micro magic pro 7' Medium, ardent apex Elite 5.3:1, 12lb fluoro. Enjoy!
  14. Just curious to see what you all are throwing. I toss one a lot of the Upper Chesapeake. Here are mine: 1) River2Sea Biggie 2) Bomber Balsa 3) Bagley B2 4) Lucky Craft SKT 5) Jawjacker J1 Which are your favorites?
  15. Is ice not an issue by you? I love in SE PA and it's always frozen by 12/15
  16. I'm not looking for ice fishing tournaments. But thanks!
  17. I know there is a trail out there somwwhere. I heard about it on Ike's podcast. I tried google, but I can't find any info. I'd love to keep tournament fish during winter. Does anyone have any info? Thank you!
  18. How does your club raise money? I'd like to hear some different ways. My old club in Wisconsin used to do minnow races for kids and make thousands. Some clubs host tournaments. My club now sells raffle tickets, which i feel there is a better way. I'd like to hear from you.
  19. I have a 6'6" Light action that I use for trout. I absolutely love it. I paid $50 for mine. It has the green blank.
  20. Sounds like you need braid. I'd go at least 50lb. Use at least a 4/0 heavy duty ewg hook, and finally the right Rod: 7' MH minimum, H would be better. Good luck!
  21. Looking into them. I'm concerned because I fish the Chesapeake Bay often and I've heard horror stories about aluminum boats and wind/rough water. I'm just looking for some pros and cons. Any input is appreciated. Thank you!
  22. Heading here for the first time this weekend. I've heard great things. Looking for tips, baits, areas for numbers of larger fish. Any info is appreciated. Thank you!
  23. I used to work at Basin Harbor Clib in Vergennes. Otter creek gets loaded with smallies in June when they spawn. Great shoreline fishing then. But launch your 'yak and head to to waterfalls for some awesome year round fishing. I never spent much time in Burlington, but Champlain itself is legendary. Have fun!
  24. I'm considering buying a boat with a '97 Johnson Venom 225 on it. They look like they're in great shape, but my buddy has an early 90's Johnson with nothing but problems. I'm looking for anyone with any experience or information on the reliability of these outboards. I don't want to buy a lemon. Thank you!
