  1. Yes, it was a joke. I knew that, otherwise I would have deleted it (if it really was mean). That's the problem with forums sometimes, you can't see the other guy winking, nudging, or cracking up after making an off-hand, purely friendly remark. Sorry Max. No malice was intended - sorry if you thought there was.
  2. You can order online. ;D http://www.bassresource.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/29?osCsid=01bc4f90abee7c0cc1e6317e4a08f994
  3. ROFLMAO!!! Oh Man!! ;D ;D I'm laughing so hard right now my stomache hurts!!!
  4. c'mon guys, I seriously, seriously doubt any hard feelings were intended here. Let's be men here, ok? There's a ton of people here from all walks of life and experiences. The (growing) list of people mentioned here are known for certain areas of expertise. Yet by no means that infers everyone else is somehow inferior. I've even seen "newbies" contribute an excellent tip or two. The only reason people with less posts aren't mentioned (yet) is because you haven't had a chance to strut your stuff yet - not because you're somehow less qualified. Ok... turn Oprah off and let's git fishing! ;D
  5. Precisely the reason why I don't tolerate that behavior here. I boot those people outta here! .... they probably all ran over to that other site.

  8. Classic example of somebody not reading the FAQ's and posting guidelines at the top of this forum. http://bassresource.com/cgi-bin/bass_fish/YaBB.pl?board=gen_bass;action=display;num=1106970040
  9. Closing this thread, as just about everything that can be said has been said.
  10. You won't find that here.
  11. A good way to look at it is this: Structure is anything that is part of the lake bottom - a feature such as creeks, humps, depressions, sandbars, roadbeds, ledges, and drop-offs Cover is anything that isn't the bottom (but may be ON the bottom) such as stick-ups, tree lines, stumps, rocks, logs, pilings, docks, weeds, boathouses, duck blinds, bushes, brushpiles, etc.
  12. Here ya go! http://bassresource.com/fishing/thermocline.html ;D
  13. Boy you sure opened a can of worms! LOL! Obviously this can go on forever. Everyone has their favorites, and the list of Ma & Pa bait companies are endless. I think he has plenty of options to choose from. For that reason, I'm closing this thread. Thanks everybody!
  14. I've deleted the other post. Vermont, please read #2 of this post: http://bassresource.com/cgi-bin/bass_fish/YaBB.pl?board=gen_bass;action=display;num=1121921532 Thanks! Glenn
  15. I have a small head (size 7 hat), so most standard glasses are too big for me (the sun gets in through the sides). I now have a couple of Hobie glasses and really like them (http://bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/hobie_05.html). They have different sizes/models for a variety of preferences. The Onofre model fits me like it was made for me. My wife amber Jay Yelas model and loves them on cloudy/rainy days. They come with an outstanding carrying case too. Also, I have a few LureEyes glasses and like how light they are. They're almost as good as the Hobie. They also come in different sizes and have a model that fits me well (Blazer). http://site.lureeyes.com
  16. Oh ya, I read 'em. ;D
  17. And proud of it! ;D
  18. I'm not an expert on the Trackers, but I checked their website and a cooler is not listed as a feature on that model. In other words, that's not a cooler!
  19. You nailed it on the head. Most pros take delivery of their new boats later in the year. Customers are #1 in Ranger's book, so they get their boats first - before most pros. That said, there's always a mad dash at the beginning of the year to outfit the FLW tour with all those custom boats. But they still manage to get customer's orders taken care of even during that frantic time of the year.
  20. http://www.bassresource.com/fish/spinnerbaits.html Enjoy!
  21. No need to add another sticky post at the top. Some people would rather post than read articles. There's nothing wrong with that. For those that want to read articles, the link to the beginner's section is at the very top of the page, first link under "Fishing Articles" - quite easy to find. I'm sure those that want to read, find it and dive in.

  23. It's easy to get overwhelmed with the choices. To counter that, keep it simple... http://bassresource.com/beginner/bass_basics.html
