Thanks: Yea I take the reels off clean and lube as needed, crank the drags low and they go in a protected reel case for the winter. I keep the tubes up, but I want to use this rack as it's easier then I can lay the tubes down and keep them outta the way

Hey Sam: Since most of my fish come from; Jigs,Weightless T rigs and wacky rigged using circle hooks; most of my bass are relatively easy to shake off right at the boat. For my topwater and plug fish usually a quick flick with a long nosed pliers. If I must handle I just wet my hands and be as careful as possible. I still prefer the Bass O Matic, becuase it is so ecologically sound

I am very happy with the 2 I bought. Both in the spring and during the top water bite they worked great

Hey Fella; I am braking everything down this morning, school has put an early and ugly end to my season. I have one of those round display type wooden rod racks, is it safe to keep my rods on it over the winter? It's in my room away from direct sunlight. Or should I put them in my pvc rod tubes like I do every year? I just got the rack.

I fish a little over 100 days a year, no small feat in the North East, working a full time job. I lube my Trions once or twice during the season, very little when needed. I send them to get done by a pro everyother year, and thats probablly more than needed.

Hey CFF I bought a ABU C4 for 5 bucks i sent to to Reel Mech, he cleaned , lubed it and for 5 bucks more he replaced the pawl so for less than 35 bucks I have a reel that works better than new and for less than half the cost of new. I gave it to a friend of mine and he loved it 8-)

Most people don't incesently take them on and put them back, I don't see how such frequent breakdown and lube is even helpful at all.

AGREED! I have not watched a whole lot of NBA, I grew up in Bklyn as a Knicks Fan. Not much to watch there for way too many years. I have been really into the college game for a long time The NBA is shwing some signs of some parity and interesting play as of yet, time to start paying attention again
