Dave: You are obviously a very bright and highly talented young man. Never waste time BS'sng that you can use honing your talent and learning something new. You only get esteemable situations one at a time and if you waste an oppurtunity to grow and shine, thats really not a good thing Now doing something clever, from a humerous backround , to get and hold the audiences attention is not BSing. HEY FELLAS;I first off want to express my overwhelming gratitutde that you fellas stepped up like you did,when asked I especially want to thank *** and Zel, who got me the interview from another site. The response was overwhelming I did the interview to inspire more people to do this and it worked. We were able to take care of 10 fellas last year, and now it will grow into something we can not handle. *** and a few fellas here will meet our needs to equip 5 guys a year. Here is why it needs to stay small fellas: We have to take these guys fishing and there are only 4 of us. We need to also incorporate a feeling of recovery and support throughout the summer, the real undelying factoer here. To repay the the fellas that did just that for me when I got clean over 16 years ago In order for this to work, it must stay small and humble, so we are backing up a bit and will not put any board wide requests. You have to try something before you se it does not fit. In order for the original intent to keep working we do not need to grow and need limited stuff THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED, it is time to make a decsiaon because what we do during the winter will effect the program So it is time to scale it down and do what we do best. 8-)

How do you know? Were you on the line of scrimmage.? It is easy to deny it now , some 49 years later, the same stuff is still going on, between teams, crowds and even those covering sporting events. One of the problems with short movie depecting an era of many years is that they tend to oversimplfy and generalize , I understand this. Having lived through that era, and traveled around the counry playing i can state that the country was far more open about their racist feelings. As long as the film shows him getting it from his own classmates, teamates and other cities, I see no great harm or injustice. Thats why you have to see a film before you judge a film. Why would that game be any different?

I lived on Conti Street for a while Sam in the 70's, beofre moving to Carondelte and Washington in the Garden District then to Metarie and finally Covington. That was as they say AN ADULT PORTION! New Orleans in particular, and Lousiana as a whole was one of my best experinces. The people of Lousiana are remarkable and a close second to Brooklyn. It is a matter of growing up in Brooklyn, you always love your hometown the best. The people of New Orleans were welcoming , rich in music knowledge and appreciation and all were proud of their varios heritages. 8-)

Eric Davis, Jackie Robinson,,Hank Aaron,Jimmy Brown and Wilt Chamberlin ( to name just a few) all had to endure racial crap no matter where they went in the USA, including on their own teams. This is a fact, I was alive and witnessed a lot of it and to base a conclusion on a few interviews with "people who were there" is to deny what happened. Wasn't just WV it was everywhere these first balck atheltic stars played. If I had 10 cents for everyone who has claimed in interviews that they were at Wood Stock, I would not have to work the rest of my life. I WASN"T 8-) The truth is , it happened, I did not see the movie and was your age when it happened, I do not know if it happened just like this film will depict it, but on many levels it happened and it still does today.

There are many like him, from litle league, to high schol, through various college and minor league programs. They have helped countless pros, find their swing, develope feilding instincts and thowing arms. It is good when they are recognized.Yhese guys are not about sound bites when they say I DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME!
