Thanks I usually get 3 years out of them, and the battery may be done after this season. Come to think of it the last battery did the same thing at seasons end and would not hold a full charge the following spring. Hey Fellas I have a Everstart group 27 deepcycle battery. This is for my trolling motor, which is my only source of propulsion, since I fish a TM motor only lake. The last several time I charged it I have this greeen, pasty/putty like stuff around the positive post, where the butterfly nut is that the cables go to. What is this? How do I clean it off? The Battery is holding a charge and I scapped it off twice but it keeps coming back with every charge

Yes you can, I have dedicated the last 2 years to mostly getting my baitcasting skills to where I am confident with them. I keep a 2 piece spiining rod behind my truck seat, for fishing ponds that have to be walked too or are in a series of ponds and pits we fish along a couple of farm roads. This weekend I went to the river for smallies and from shore spinning definitely has it's advantages so I keep one good spinning outfit.

I am not an expert but there is information out there that supports the idea that bowfins do have a negative effect on bass populations. I don't know about killing every one you catch.

Hey REDS, no nothing is a joke about you, your 'pole' or anyother begginer, we all started some where. Go to the begginers section like you are doing then go to top left of the Home Page and click on articles and go to EQUIPMENT. Then you will have a basis to ask questions and understand we all have brands we love, and that is where the reccomended stuff will come from. Provided they come from people who actually use the equipment all will be good suggestions Then go to a store close to you that has some of the suggested products and SEE HOW THEY FEEL TO YOU. When asking for suggestions always add what price range you are shopping in, people will even go to the trouble of giving you on line links to thier suggestions. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SPEND A TON OF MONEY 8-)

Went to PORT Clinton PA and fished the River and the dam area today, with the other part of 2 MOOKS IN A BOAT< LAst time we were there 4 inch Glist/Shad *** Slaty Tricks wacky rigged with JJ's Magic was the deal' This time I think for the first time scent turned them offf, Not one bite in the first hour!!1 Bruce ( My fishing partner) Lost the scent while I kept using it and he hooked up to a 14 and then a 13 inch smallie and I had nothing going on. We walked over the bridge to the other side, off a rocky point and I went to a * and Bruce to a finesse jig thingy he uses, He started really slaming them , and I was getting a lot of takers BUT NO HOOK UPS So I put on a slider head, and a 4 inch French Fry Worm and sprayed it with Anise and started pulling in fish after fish ALL DAY AND NOT ONE FISH 12 inches so Burley I am taking part of your crown today and declare myslef KING OF THE BRONZE DINKS

Time to put the on and sit back and watch this thread get beautiful ;D
