  1. I love Pflueger reels, I am a FLOOGER MOOK. that being said; This reel is horrible! Everyone I know who bought them here in my neck of PA m, thats about a half a dozen guys , don't own them anymore. I am not one to talk from other peoples opinions so I borrowed the one my friend Danny bought , after just 5 trips The Reel was making an almost grinding sound on the cast with Jitterbugs Using the same rod I could not get near the same distance throwing a 5 inch Trick Stick The Drag was not fluid and smooth I know this is blasphamey on here but the Eschleon is a much better buy in the lower end of Flooger It is not until you get around to the Trions. Asaro and Presidents do you see the real great reels Flooger makes
  2. Thank you both much. May I never fish a shoreline again ;D
  3. It's cool it's all taken care of ; Find the next guy who needs something ...keep it moving forward 8-)
  4. And you guys are 5.5 in as the Wild Card. But you better watch those Marinerss, they are breathing down you necks just 22.5 games behind you
  5. GEEZ: ALRIGHT ALLRIGHT, I HIT THE WRONG &^#$$ KEY I changed it to 10my bad :
  6. The other half of 2 Mooks in a boat liked to fish the shoreline more than I did, We were lucky to have several spots on the Lake where fishing from either side of the boat allowed us to do both at the same time. He is a converted stream/trout fisherman I remeber not following advice here and persitentally fishing the shore, until I got frustrated. So I decided to let him go through his learning experience We had a summer of hot days with very little rain, the lake is currently down 4+ feet. He finally got tired of catching nothing, and since he has not chosen to come on here yet, he asked me what i was learning, and now I can not get him away from the deep water THANK GOD! It took some patience, giving him the stuff that was working for me and showing him the LITTLE BIT that I know, now we are both learning how to fish the deeper water together. Give him time.
  7. Hey: Took your suggestions on fishing deep to shallow. Set up Parallel to a creek bed and dropped jigs to the deepest part and hopped them up, when They made it! This proved very sucessful, but raised a question The bass either smaked it down on the original drop, as close to center of the channel as possible, or 3 ft. higher just on the edge of the creek bed, WHY NO STRIKES IN BETWEEN? Not very important, just wanted to know why? Thanks Dominick
  8. That's a whole other way at looking at things, I like That
  9. In the grass I use either Charlie Brewer Slider heads or Lucky Strike Finesse jig heads. I put a 3.5 or 6 inch Brush Bug ( From ***) and spray em with a mixture of Anise and Mineral oil. The grass doesnt stick to them and my hook ups increased a lot
  10. Hey Fishbear: Up here in the North East, on Natural Lakes; Grassy Flats are the ticket most of the time 8-)
  11. Hey Fellas: I keep reading here where people talk about DeadSticking as a Finesse Bait. I don't look at them as finesse. This seems to be prevalant on Threads about trhowing smaller baits with Bait Casting Equipment. I throw throw them with BC equipment and they cast like rockets and seem to weigh a whole lot more than even a regular 10 inch plasti worm Just wondering if uyou see them as a Finesse Bait?
  12. What that Mook just before me said ;D
  13. de jA VUE all over again, thats one for the Philthies :-[
  14. Hey Fellas; Out on the Chunk tonight with a very close friend of mine Mark.We were on a pretty choppy lake with a falling barometer and were throwing jigs into the old creek bed Catt and 4 Bizzle had stated it is better to fish deep and bring the jig up into the shallower part of the structure, We set the Boat up , parallel to the creek bed and we were using Slider heads with *** Brush Bugs on em. They were either slamming them on the inital drop into the creek bed, or just as the jig would hop back over the shallower edge. We caught a nice bunch of 15 to 17 inch LMB, then his Revo Crapped out and was making a weird noise. \ It's tme to head back and he wants to stop on a grassy flat close to the ramp to throw some 4 inch wacky stiks, I agree and we set up on the site HERES WHERE THINGS GO WAY #@*%XX!ing WRONG: He gets a birds nest from hell on his other rig, and I suck up the tag end of his line into the trolling motor :-[ We get this all straightend out and I give him a rig to use A CABELAS PRODIGY ON A CABELAS FISH EAGLE II Well his hands were wet and he goes to cast and ANOTHER RIG SINKS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LAKE AS IT SLIPPED OUT OF HIS HAND AND WENT FLYING INTO THE LAKE NOT 40 YARDS FROM WHERE I LOST THE OTHER ONE THIS SUMMER :'( :'( :'( I can't get ticked , it could have been me. Mark is replacing the rod and I told him to forget about the reel as I have 2 extra BC reels any way. A dreadful ending to a short but productive trip, MARK SENT ME A CONFIRMATION # HE REORDERED THE ROD ALREADY 8-)
  15. There is one avitar on here with some squirell and lollipops that just weirds me out.
  16. 20 trips on the water this year. Me and the other Mook in the Boat using Trigged 5 inch Purple Trick Sticks We mixed 1/8 ounce of pure Anise oil in a 2 ounce srpay bottle filled the rest of the way with mineral oil. 10 trips I used the Anise and 10 trips the other Mook used it. In both cases the fella with the Anise had 25% more stikes and more hooks up total. Take all your theroies, this has actually been my experience through years of fishing. I don't give a hoot if Bass can't taste it or smell it IT WORKS, I learned it from a guy in New Orelans in the late 70's and it works. Well I am off to the Chunk for an evening of fishing 2 Mooks in a boat style, and the Anise is in both our bags SeeYA
  17. Thats a brilliant idea, they tried it in the 70's . shooting Silver idoide into the clouds Number on It didint work # 2 there eventually will be some kind of athmospheric or chimical fall out over this, watch. I hope they didn't put no stinkin MSG in dem der clouds :
  18. Hey Fellas; You guys all think Burley is mean , nasty and tough: THINK AGAIN he has a heart as nbg as BEAST!!!!!!! Last year, to shut his Shemano Mouth, I gave him a Pflueger Trion to try out, he had some difficulty with the brakes, and in the long run decided the Flooger was not for him I put up a call on the Flea Mkt Looking for a used Trion, one was for me ( Which Sharkbite and another member gave me) and one was to trade a guy for his left handed model so a friend would get it Burley , politley ( Means he refrained from saying the F word) explained that there was no need to buy one as he had the Trion I gave him and it was just sitting in the garage. HOPE IT WASN"T TOUCHING any SHE MANO stuff! Anyway He sent it to me And for packaging he lined the box with bags of ZOOM PLASTICS. So MR> TOUGH GUY BURLEY, thank you for being the kind of stand up and generous man you are 8-)
  19. I use a 6'6" Med/Fast Cabelas Fish Eagle II with a Pflueger Trion 5.3:1 Crank Reel. The fibergalss thing did not do much for me, actually I wasn't having trouble before i swicthed 4 fraking times. Sometimes there is a bit of hype mixed in with reality
  20. Cabelas Fish EagleII 6'6" Med/fast 79 bucks Fenwick Eagle GT ( same) 59 bucka

  23. This letter was sent to the principals office after an elementary school had sponsored a luncheon for the elderly. An old lady had received a new radio at the lunch as a door prize and was writing to say thank you. This story is a credit to all human kind. Forward to anyone you know who might need a lift today! Dear Faculty and Students: God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your recent senior citizens' luncheon. I am 84 years old and live at an Assisted Home for the Aged. All of my family has passed away. I am all alone now and it's nice to know someone is thinking of me. God bless you for your kindness to an old forgotten lady. My roommate is 95 and always had her own radio. Before I received this one, she would never let me listen to hers, even when she was napping. The other day, her radio fell off the night stand and broke into a lot of little pieces. It was awful and she was in tears. She asked if she could listen to mine, and I said $#@!*&% you. Thank you for that opportunity. Sincerely, Agnes
  24. Which reminds me, we just got a new Italian Proctologist in town DOCTOR INNUENDO
