Rude Stren Series Fisherman in Chaumont Bay
What he said and like I posted if there is an issue go right to the Tourny organizers they are great at compromise and want to be welcomed to that body of water again. BTW Are you sure that mook was even in the Tourny? We had 2 &*#@$*#$ Mooks come between us and the shore, 10 yds from where we were fishing an area. Granted we were fishing paralell to the shore, and they saw us land a double, but thats a little close. When we spoke up, they said they were in the tournament going on, EXCEPT THEY DID NOT HAVE A NUMER OR FLORECENT THREAD ON THE TROLLING MOTORS LIKE THEY OTHER CONTESTANTS on the lake that day. We answered them by casting rattletraps right at them ;D

Crankbait Diving Depth Labels
Good question OK; Storm doesn't and neither does Norman on all their models. I think the issue also is, sometimes the line and equipment i am using changes things and there may be a difference on what the manufacturer says they will do and how they work for an individual angler.

MORE QUESTIONS ABOUT STRUCTURE AND COVER;NATURAL LAKES
Sorry to ask so many, Just putting some of this to use. OK Catt; We have 2 prominet break lines in a natural lake I fish up state NY, On has a 3 ft kind of ledge then is slopes to 16 ft ( Max Depth) .It follows the shore line and then there is a very productive weedy flats area between the break line and the shore in 9 ft of water. That sie then drops off, very gradually into 14 ft of water. The sharper of the 2 has some cover on it in the form of 2 sunken row boats and the other side is best close to the weedy falts, Now the questions When fishing those boats, or even an underwater hump: Is one angle better than the other ( deeper side first)? Or should yo fish it from all sides? The side on the Weedy flats, better to fish paralell to the shore, or vertical jig the break point? Thanks Dominick

Bending the Barb
You retract from what you write and then put it on me like I can not read and have something personal against you. I do not like being talked down to and dismissed and if you wrote something, that others took" the wrong way: maybe a look at the wirter and not the reader is in order. Thats when you are wetting my shoes. I am agressive, I strongly state my points , what is wrong wioth that? I am not Threating . What I stated was I killed 3 fish in 11 years, not 3 which would be in "so many years" You are right I apologize we are off topic, I have no desire to pm you

Bending the Barb
There is no sport and no misrepresenting you. I may not be as eloquent as you, but I really have no use for someone making pee pee on my sneakers and then telling me it's raining outside. This is like a smart lawyer getting something in front of a jury then the other side objets, the judge sustains the objection and tells the Jury to disreguard what the first mook said TOO LATE!

Bending the Barb
Yea Cheers, you can justify it all you want .You Wrote and I quote AKIN TO THROWING BEER CANS OVERBOARD, that by defintion is littering. I guess I am just a little too callous to be concerned so much about the fish. A pinched barb in the gut does as much damage as a barbless one. In the last 11 years I haved killed 3 fish, and maybe a dozen of so damaged lips. I would rather to minimize a released damaged lipped fish than leave a treble sticking out of it. I know what the original question I dind't get all on Golden Pond with the issue. I ain't here for the asthetics, I am on the water to fish, treat them as good as I can, and have some fun.

Ive been using Pflueger and BPS for a long time I never once did this. There are a lot of things you as a user can break, it is not the reels fault.

Bending the Barb
\ THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LITTERING AND PUTTING A FISH BACK THAT YOU HOOKED>>> ON PURPOSE MIND YOU. There are many here that have fished with me so I give you fellas 2 clues. I usually just reach down , using my pliers I shake the fish right off. Most of my fish I do not even hold. #2 Get some thick 50 lb test line and tie a knot under the barb, much the same like the doc's do in the hospital to back a hook out of one of us. This works most of the time as well as pinching the barb. This business about multilated mouth comes with the sport and to compare that with littering is beyond me. If you feel so bad about the fish then stop fishing. Some of the best hunters I kn0w and a few here have very tragicallty not on purpose , have lost game that they shot, IT IS A PERCETANGE THING that comes with that sport. Are we gonna say they do not loved their beloved outdorrs because that sport bears that risk? Do you think I and others are out there ripping lips and getting somekind of enjoyment out of it ?We accept the fact it happens, do what we can to avoid it and for you to make this akin to littering just really gets my goat.

Gustav May Be Upgraded To Category 2 Hurricane
I spoke with onwe of my friends last night he is leaving tommorow for his folks house in Tenn. He said 2 of the main pumps, in the 9th and 13th wards are not pumping right . The Gov. and Mayor are thinking about an all out evacuation on Sunday. No matter what, hurricaine or tropical storm any rain over 8 or 9 inches alone is gonna be very dangerous. Part of an article from today's Times-picayune: Metro area waiting for Gustav by Robert Travis Scott, Mark Schleifstein and Michelle Krupa, The Times-Picayune Friday August 29, 2008, 10:13 PM Residents of vulnerable coastal parishes should evacuate as soon as possible in anticipation of an expected dangerous Category 3 Hurricane Gustav, packing winds of 115 mph and arriving early Tuesday, Gov. Bobby Jindal said Friday. A Louisiana State University scientist working with state emergency preparedness officials warned late Friday that Gustav could push as much as 15 feet of storm surge onto a wide stretch of the state's coastline west of New Orleans. "If it stays on this southwest Louisiana track, Gustav will be like a hybrid between Katrina and Rita, " Robert Twilley said. "And right in the middle, you've got the huge Atchafalaya basin. . . . I just hope people don't wait too long" to get out. The state will open contraflow traffic patterns on interstates "early, early Sunday morning" to assist the exodus, Jindal said as he announced preparations to move people out of at least 19 parishes in which a state of emergency has been declared. For the first time, the state's contraflow plan, in which all lanes of interstate highways flow in a single direction away from the storm, will be implemented for southeast and southwest Louisiana simultaneously, Jindal said. Jindal and other officials urged residents of the New Orleans area to move north or east -- not west, where Gustav appears to be headed. He said more than 1,500 National Guard troops moved into New Orleans today, adding that he expects the state to deploy an additional 7,000 Guard soldiers to secure the areas that are evacuated. "We don't want folks worried about their property, " Jindal said at the state's Emergency Operations Center in Baton Rouge. "We want people to be worried about their personal safety." State officials by Friday had noted a 400 percent increase in demand for gasoline, Jindal said. State officials had requested gas from Texas and from stored winter blends to ensure that fuel supplies hold up, he said. Coastal flooding expected

Gustav May Be Upgraded To Category 2 Hurricane
Hey Tell Carol that a good ,respectful arguement can lead to new ideas or the clashing of 2 mooks! Either way,no harm. I used that not for wind speed but to show that the projected path will put New Orleans on the NE part of the winds, most dangerous part of the storm! It's now a hurricaine again and growing in strength. I am heartbroken and worried about whats left of my friends there.
