  1. One is just about three years old. It's mate is on my friend Bruces rod now. The other is just about a year old. I keep it on a 2 piece rod, behind the seat of my S10 for pond hoping. This reel has thbeen mistreated with no issues! My friend Steve just landed a huge smallie last week and his Trion did the job and is still working fine I still think the President is the best buy and my favorite spinning reel. I will always have at least one Trion in the arsenal 8-)

Let the bass tell you what they want. I fish the 5/8 Black frequently at night, most of the time they want it moving, so long as you have that plop sound going. Sometimes, pretty infrequently thay do go after one that I stop for a bit, i find that the hit on those nights comes as I start up the retrieve again.
  7. It's on a pennisula next to some trees, next question ;D
  8. Hey I would like to hear your experience with this
  9. Hey Micro: That is not true, which is why I use you frequently for advice. You always give your experience , like several others here. You are also not shy about saying,"I don't know , I never used it" You experience is worth so much more than some of the arm chair experts. Your help has been very on the money with me Dominick
  10. THANK"S SAM they were
  11. I have been on bigger fish this year, thanks to a few members here, namely LBH<ZEL<SPEEDBEAD and CATT, and last week a friend caught a samllie off a weed bed that I put him on, that was a very large fish. We had no scale and I wondered when I saw this post if a stringer could have been used to hold the fish until I made a few calls to get an accurate idea of the weight. I do not care about such things as I catch em and put em right back, So when I saw this and the info, I asked a local guide and I saw the article by the biologist on this site and I searched and all the info was that a stringer was not a good alternative and leads to a higher chance of mortality. I choose to go with this
  12. Yea and everything else is soooo much cheaper at *** ;D
  13. Hey Uncle Leo: You better hope she doesn't read this thread, remind me never to stick up a bank with you

  18. I Found this in an article in our site above, by a couple of biologists: 7. Don't use stringers for fish that will be released. Just as sticking your fingers in the gills is bad for them stringers can destroy their gill filaments. Regardless of where the stringer is placed in the fish, there is no good way to use one, all do damage to lips, gills, etc. How would it feel if someone stuck a stringer in your lungs? However, if fish is bleeding a little from gills because of a hook injury you have not necessarily killed that fish. Hold it in your livewell with Catch & Release treatment in the water for several hours until the bleeding stops. Much like you pricking your finger, a little blood does not signify death in all cases Here is the link: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/fish1.html If you google the topic you will find many articles that show why this is not such a good idea.
