Hey Tom: I do not know a 1/100th about college football than you do, but I do know college hoops. I went to St Johns, a mecca of College football. The Sec had 2 teams in the top 25 last year, the Big East had 6, the most of any conference, With the new editions to the conference it is going to become more and more dominant. This was the fear that some of the other confrences stated during the realignment of 3 years ago. The BIG EAST has and remains a very powerful force in Div I NCAA Mwens Hoops, the past and current records speak for themselves. It is sad to say, but with the new administration at St.Johns who are really puttting both an excellent Basketball program and a great baseball program way on the back burners, that St.Johns may be a thing of the past. The Big East on the other hand has remained a dominant force and just got a whole lot stronger.

There is a big fish, winner take all tourny every Wed night on Mauch Chunk. The boats line up by the ramp, and are not supposed to block the moorings for the daily anglers, they were doing this every week and some words were being passed between the guys staging before the tourny and the every day guys trying to get out on the lake Tact One; We told the useless fsh and game guy, who is mostly interested in giving guys tickets for such offenses as no whistle in the boat or a 2 of my friends discovered, for getting out of the boat in an area without a lifeguard! This guy is an overinflated mook for sure Tact 2: I spoke, calmly with the tourny organizer: PROBLEM SOLVED immediately! Without fuss or fanfare, it is easy to share the lake with a little cooperation from both sides A little aside: I love going out , right in front of the staging boats and pull a nice one right off the weed beds. This one guy kept coming out to see what we were trhowing So I hooked a rod up with an old red and white LUCKY 13 and I put a big old egg sinker on it and just left it hangin! I wonder if it worked for him ;D

Thats a good decent rod, but the guys who look at brand as a status symbol are all up in arms that such a "lowly rod", made outside the US is beneath that name. Depends on wheter you want a rod that is a decent fishing tool or want others to know what a pro you are because you know what names to fish ;D

The SEC does overwhelmingly, as a confrence dominate in both talent and viewer interest when it comes to big time college football In the next 5 years the BIG EAST will do the same in college basketball. The new programs have settled in and the schedueling still has a bit of a tune up. but this conference already uis showing signs of sending very many teams into the tournament in March. 5 more years and they will be the dominant college hoops conference

Amazon steers buyers to sellers, basically. The HMX I got through them is exactly to the somewhat 15 or so I have owned through out the years. It is identical the rods currently on the racks at our local Cabelas

I got a Fenwick HMX 6'6" trigger stick delivered in perfect condition from Amazon for 38 and some change. Thats the cost of shipping for Cabelas and even with free shipping from places like TW, that is still at least 60 bucks cheaper. The trick with Amazon is to just order those super deals and you have to monitior them daily 8-)

WOW! Swimming suit contreoversy for the sycronized swimming/ I just don't get the summer olympics, but then again I am not a fan of swimming or track and field

I have been doing this for years, t riggin worms. Now when I go to wacky rigs and Trick sticks: in the deep summer. Many do, doesnt hurt the hooks and I don't have to spend 20 minutes stressing fish out from getting hooked up and damaging their gills. MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING! You don't need scientific method to figure all this out With single hook lures, you will loose fish that are other wise catchable, but if you are C and R anyhow, whats the big deal. If you are worried about what this does to bass lips, this probablly isn't the sport for you.

It is new for them! There are a lot of custom baits out there that make it to one of the mass producers lines. Do you think that Lucky Craft invented walk the dog baits? No but they really push thier Sammy, it is just something that Rapala added new to their line PS the sub walk proved excellent for me this year 8-)

I fish spinning righty retrieve and the oppisite with baitcasting. I believe when the BC's first were invented they only came one way. I tried thee LH retrieves but I actually like the feel RH and I just switch up during the retrieve like Sam

I have been known to throw the ocassional Mann's ly worm, they stil work Fav's Marmalade(motoroil) and Grape (purple)

Hey Catt, that is the toughest call a manager has to make, especially with a young still growing arm. He was definitley fatigued, and would have been needed to pitch the final, if needed. I can't tell you the amount of blown arms I have seen , never making it to college or the pros. The issue is IT ONLY TAKES ONE PITCH, and an arm can be ruined forever, especially true with kids under 21-23. He knew his pitcher, and 85 or not, he protected his young pitcher, and had to save him for at least a relief apperance in the final. Tell your buddies to stop scatching their heads, and go great those home town heros when they come back. No I have never been there and I live just a little over an hour away

I have also fished with a few guys from these forums that use them exclusively, one a tournament fisherman. HAVE YOU USED THESE REELS? Have you used the Prodgys or the FX's from Cabelas. If you have pray tell of your experience and why you consider them junk. I have used and tested everything on my list.
