Up NORTH , yes slower is better especially before the ice sets up, no doubt about this one! I have better luck with soft plastic minnow type baits, like the Super Fluke in the Spring and Fall. I believe it has to do with the bluegills and craw fish going down in their prey list at that time. Bass definitely become acclimated to some lures on heavenly pressured water, when a lot of folks are all throwing the same lures. UPHILL is always better, you taught me that and it has helped me immensely I have begun to favor fishing from 4pm to 4am! But I will fiush any time I can be on the water! all the other questions: I do not have enough experience and I am still trying to learn those answers myself>

I agree, but what do we do if Exxon or Sunoco own the alternative fuels? The Enron crew did the same thing in the Oil Rings that they did out West with Electrical Energy, whats to stop big energy conglomerates from messing , in unfair ways with the supply and cost of alternative fuels. We need new players in this market.

If the price of a barrel of oil goes up lets say 2:pm EST the price at the pump goes up at 1;59pm If the price of a barrel of oil goes down Jan.1,1009 , the price of a gallon of gas should go down by Easter! The price of oil seems to have very little to do with reality anymore. And the experts either are so dumb they keep getting tricked or they are part of the club that feeds us lies. I guess you think it is perfectly acceptable to buy a new reel every year? You get what you pay for, and with casting reels, the line of demarcation is around $100. Gotta disagree here. I have a BPS Extreme the old one, with the 6 pin brake for over 2 years of very active use. It was given to me by my fried Gene who had it for 5 years of also heavy use. Many of my friends and I have had Pflueger Trions , they last for years, And I bet you there are guys fishing ABU's and Pfluegers over 25 years old all over this board,that were bought in this price range: I have fished with some of them myself. This is from personal first hand experieince , not She-mano driven propaganda. :

The BPS EXTREMES: I would jump on one now, as the updated the reel for 2009 and the old ones will be put on a huge discount. Cabela Prodigiues and Tourny xz's: I have ownded and used both, no isssues both for around 65 on sale USED: Look on our flea market I curently own 4 Pflueger Trion Baitcaster I got on our flea market used for 45 bucks. I spent a6 on each getting them cleamed and lubed ( Pflueger does em) and they run like new, which would have cost 99 per Also look for ABU's , Micro has a 5600c Mag 4 up right now for onoly 50 bucks ( new they go for 99) and I bet the reel is in new condition. The notion you can't find a good reel at this price is BS I have been doing it for years.
