Lance......
Sports and doping go hand in hand. Who isn't on PEDs or doing testosterone replacement is the real question. I don't know how they test the riders for cycling, but I'm assuming it's a urine test which most players can pass by cycling properly and I know Olympic style testing cost to much for them to keep doing it for every single player. They need more random drug testings, but then it'll probably end up like what happened with Serena Williams who locked herself up in a washroom and called the cops because she thought it was an intruder. Was she legitimately scared for her life or hiding from the test? These players who cheat will always find a way to do it by delaying tests from exemptions, submitting non-human urine, hiding or using the newest underground steroid that doesn't show up. Is there a solution to this problem in sports? I don't know, but don't be surprised if you hear the next person being caught. They are going after these players such as Bonds, Clemens and Armstrong to set an example.

Knot Wars
Palomar knot for also everything and a San Diego Jam with fluoro. I also use this other knot which I cannot find the name for. I saw it on a Japanese fishing show and this guy was swapping baits very quickly and I was interested in learning. It's something similiar to the San Diege Jam knot like a modified version, but easier to tie. It works the same way as well and is very strong. Bascially, if you can pull the tag end of the line and the knot slides up the main line, you've done it right just like the San Diego Jam.

Bass Pro Cranking Stick
These rods have great reviews, but I didn't buy them because I don't like the power hump and reel seat. If they got rid of the hump and used ECS reel seats. I would pick up a couple.

Am I Right Or Wrong?
I can probably understand why your girlfriend is mad and needs "time to get over this". Her brother hits your car accidently and agrees to pay for the damages and you quote him $1100 for the repairs. She obviously feel it's a high estimate for minor damages so she asks you for a second quote, also telling you her brother doesn't have a job as well and you say "it's not your problem". At this point, even if you got a second quote, the damage has already been done. You are not wrong in this situation for wanting your car to be repaired/get your money, but as others have already said, "It's just a car!". I think it's one of those situations where you just need to take the loss for the relationship sake. Let them fix your car as they agreed to it and be done with.

6Th Sense Crankbaits
I picked up 2 of the Crush 50X Square Bill in live baby blue gill and some oval split rings to replace for some baits. Season is over for me so I won't be using them until next year. They look good.

Craiglist Scam Marshal Pesta
Yup, too much nonsense. A typical deal would be, asking if the boat was still for sale, some details, meet up and handle it in person. If it's too good to be true then it is.

Red Hooks?
I don't like red hooks because they flake and turn into gold hooks. I have some on my baits, but I can't tell if they make a difference or not, but personally, I rather not use them. I believe the colour red is suppose to disappear under water and that was maybe why red hooks where put on lures, but then there are fisherman who put one red hook on the front to represent a bleeding bait fish. Give them a try if you want. If it gives you more confidence then continue to use them.

Shipping Problems
I've done over 100+ transactions online including on eBay and I live in Canada. Packages are never "lost", they are usually stolen or scammed. If the mailman leaves a package at your doorstep then something might have taken it. I know sometimes packages are delivered to the wrong address. I had about 4-5 packages this year that belonged to my neighbors. If the package was legitimately lost, there will be a delay, but it will get there eventually.

Flushing Bearings
This what I do as well, but if this is your first time, you might want to leave them over night to get all that grease out.

Curado 50E Upgrades
Flush out he bearings and put some grease on the gears. There is plenty of step by step videos on YT you can look up. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself then send it in to DVT. He can also do any upgrades you want. I no longer use the 50E size reels. They hurt my hand because the clutch bar is too high. I don't notice this until a few hours into the fishing trip, so I ended up selling them and giving the one I upgraded to my GF. She calls it the "baby Curado". Haha. Here is a picture of the upgraded reel: OS Boca Abec7 bearings Carbontex drag washers Curado E7 aluminum drag star - I did this because I don't like the plastic star, I broke mine from a Citica 200E. It also feels cheap to me. 84mm handle from a Chronarch D Big septon handle knobs

Silent Red Eye Shad
The only lakes I fish are all heavily pressured and I have better success with the rattling versions on all crankbaits. It seems to work better. Most of the strikes come from a reaction strike like deflecting off a rock, but I have noticed that not many people use crankbaits, they seem to like the spinnerbait more. I have a lot of silent crankbaits, but if I wanted something different for a rattle trap, try the one knocker.

Money
I already know the worse investment I'll make will be on a wedding. The banjo minnow was the bait that got me back into fishing.

Your Favorite Bass Lures?
My 3 favourite baits this year was a Senko, Square Bill and a Lipless. I keep it simple when it comes to chooseing colours for plastics. Green Pumpkin is a great all around colour. If I had one choice, it will be this colour. Watermelons/Watermelon red fleck for clear water. Black and blue fleck for stain or dirty water. For crankbaits. I always match the hatch. We don't have shad so I like to stick with the bluegill colours, perch colours. For stain/dirty water, you want something that shows up better and anything with Chartreuse is great.

Curado 200E5 Problem
Take off the Anti Reverse Pawl and put the reel back together and see if the noise goes away. If it does, then there's your problem. All you have to do is pinch the blades close together so it sits tighter on the rachet, but not too tight. Like this \ /

Straight Forward Answer Please!
If your paying retail price for it. NO.

Let Us Talk About Rod Action
Are you talking about hook sets? Personally, I don't feel like you need to set the hook as hard as some people do. I barely have a hook set on any baits I use and if it doesn't penatrate pass the barb on the hook set, it'll do that during the fight.

Question: Should I Tip Delivery Drivers?
I always tip because I understand how hard it is for those who rely on tip to make their income and it sucks being stiffed. If you can't afford to tip then you shouldn't be eating out or ordering in. The only time I can see myself not giving a tip is if the waiter gives me an attitude. Honestly, there is no reason not to give a tip, even with bad service, I will still tip, but probably less. Sometimes people are just having a bad day and a tip can make them feel better.

How To Hold A Pike/musky
This is definitely not how to do it. I will learn from his mistake and use a net or at least support the weight of the pike if it's a big fish.
-
How To Hold A Pike/musky
I normally just use my pliers for a quick release or grab the fish on the back of its head. How do I hold it properly for a picture without hurting the fish or myself?

Do You Wash Your Meat
I'm a clean freak so I used to give my steaks a good rinse before cooking them, but I stopped doing that because my mom said it wasn't nessessary.
-
Downsize My Frog?
I have had such good hook up ratios with the smaller size frogs that I never to use the regular sizes anymore. They will catch both smaller and larger fish as well. 40lb 832 will be good enough. I normally don't use braid, but the no stretch is good for hook sets far away and also for ripping grass. BTW, I use PowerPro because it cuts grass better then smoother superlines such as 832.

Fast Or Extra Fast For Flipping'/pitchin'
Agree. I have 2 Shimano Crucial MH in Fast and XF. The Fast action is the one I prefer most of the time. The softer tip is just overall better to fish with. I cannot find a situation where I find the XF is better for me. The XF feels nicer to fish heavy spinnerbaits with, but other than that, the Fast action gets the job done. If I were to fish heavier cover, I would buy a heavy power rod or a longer MH rod. I just can't get used to the XF tip action.

Catch And Release: An American Thing?
Being a fellow canadian, my experiences are about the same with yours. Most of the people I go fishing with want to bring fish home to cover some of the costs that was spent for the day. There isn't anything wrong with this menality nor is keeping a few fish for dinner, but I really do enjoy releasing my fish and watching them swim away. So it's catch and release for me, unless I kill one accidently then it'll be coming home for dinner.

Things Bass Fisherman Say...
These are the few things I notice I say all the time. "Got one!" "He hit it on the fall" "Would you eat this, if you were a bass?"

Shimano Buys Jackall
I really hope Shimano doesn't buy Jackall. They're one of my favourite companies and I love their baits. Who know what will happen after if they get bought out.
