Take it and back get a new one. I had the same issues with the very first President I bought. Put your ear close up and listen on your exchange reel if it makes the same noise.

The Clarus now has a IM8 blank and Fuji Alconite Guides. Looks attractive for the price, but I am still not digging the new split grip looks. I wonder how this rod compares to the old Compre/Crucial.

I have the blue President, President XT and a Supreme. They are all awesome reels for the price. No problems at all. I don't think you can go wrong with these reels. I am thinking about picking up a XT, it looks nice.

This stinks! I'll continue to use the reel without the upgrade. I won't bother doing any maintenance to it. Next time, I'll make sure I put a drop of oil on my other reels to prevent this from happening again, along with your advices.

I'm trying to install new Carbontex drag washers for all my reels and on 1 of my Curado E, I can't remove the top and bottom screw for the side plate. I've pretty much messed up the top of them trying to get them out. Now, I can't even get a grip with the screwdriver. I have no idea what happened to them because the last time I put them back on, I was very careful not to put them on too tight. Help? Driving me crazy!

Definitely will have to go with this reel. It's built like a tank!

I bought 2 sets of the ABEC 7 stainless steel bearings for my Curados. They spin a lot longer than the stock bearings for sure. As for performance, I'm having a bit of trouble adjusting to the speed of it. It's almost effortless to make a short distance cast, but I cannot get the bait further than I can on the stock bearings without back lashing for long distance.

I agree that Jake's only chance to win is to catch GSP in a submission. He definitely has the best BJJ in the 170 division. He has submitted guys that have beaten GSP on the ground. I hope Jake comes into this fight with better cardio. GSP will wins this by controlling how to fight goes, hopefully he can finish this fight and not win by a decision.

1) When my sister throws something into the garbage, 7/10 times she absolutely air balls the garbage bin and I have to pick up after her. It's annoying as hell, I mean you went to toss something out, but fail to put it in. 2) People who eat in their rooms and leave the drinks/plates behind. I can understand being too lazy to do it at the moment, but seriously, when I come back 2 days later and I still see it... =S 3) Opening a can of pop, taking 2 sips of it, put it into the refrigerator then end up tossing the drink. Don't open a drink if your not going to at least finish half of it. 4) People who blast their music with their car windows opened. Courtesy to turn it down at a stop light? 5) Chuck Norris or the "Over 9000" jokes over the internet.

Strike King baits are one of the worse company when it comes to consistency. Yes, I know they are mass produced and maybe they can be special working in your favour, but like I said, they are probably the worse when it comes to this. I like their baits a lot, but I do get annoyed that every bait has some type of issue. Whether it's not running true out of package, an eye falling off after a few fish, some eyes are smaller than the groove that is for them, baits chipping easier, rattles being stuck, etc. My last visit at BPS, the KVD Square Bill Crankbaits were almost sold out, but I found a whole row of the rattling chart/black ones and I was wondering why this was still here. I picked them up, look at them carefully and saw a minor flaw on EVERY single bait. Some had excess glue, some had what looked like a chip bill, bad paint jobs, etc. I guess this could of been the reason why they were not sold.

They are not the favourites. I saved those by copying and pasting them onto a word document or took the notes that were important for me to remember. These links are just ones that I copied and paste onto a note pad so I can reread them at a later time. I can still find them by putting into Google then doing a search here, but was wondering if there was an easier way.

This. All my shimano E reels have backplay and some more than the other. Although the reel works perfectly fine, it does bother me sometimes. I've learned not to be such a snob because it's costing me too much money. I will just beat them up for along as I can and buy a new reel when one needs to be replaced.

The senkos have a distinct smell as well as action like no other. They are heavily salted and a bit mushy compared to other brands. I bought a pack of senkos from a local tackle shop which didn't have the markings on the egg sack, but they fish exactly like the senko. Here is a picture of the 4" senkos I bought this year at BPS compared to last year. There is a small size difference.

I don't need to hide anything from my girlfriend although she does get annoyed when I continue to spend money on baits every time I'm at BPS or the local tackle shop. I actually don't think it's THAT bad although I'll admit that I won't use them up in my life time. I don't have other hobbies so a few hundred bucks a year ain't so bad.

I've had success with the X-Rap in warmer weather. I use the Pointer in the fall and haven't caught many bass, but I doubt it's the bait. I struggle during the colder months to catch fish.

The Crickhopper is a fun bait to use. Just cast it out and retrieve. It catches a lot of smaller fish though. I haven't had something over 2 pounds hit it.

Does this mean that Lucky Craft will no longer produce the RC 1.5s? If so, I need to pick up a few more.

The only hooks that have ever rusted on me are Eagle Claw hooks. I have left baits on my Gamakatsu's for over a year and still no rust.

I enjoyed all the Lunkerville shows... especially the shore fishing ones.
