  1. X2 Here I was wondering what type of new baits would be out. I am not impressed. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1296702661 Something to look forward to.
  2. I have also used the EWGs for all my plastics and it's fine to me. I rarely ever miss a fish on a hook set. I am however interested in giving the straight shank hooks a try.
  3. I've only used my new Supreme for practice casting and I can tell that I'll love it along with my President. Great price for that reel.
  4. I would like to know if yellow braid is okay to fish without colouring it with a sharpie or using a leader. I bought a spool and haven't used it yet.
  5. *Jigs - 50lb Power Pro Braid *Spinnerbaits - 14lb McCoy Mean Green Coly *Texas rigged plastics - 12lb McCoy Mean Green Coly *Finesse - 6-8lb McCoy Mean Green Coly *Soft/hard jerkbaits - 12lb BPS Fluorocarbon ATM, but I prefer 10lb McCoy Mean Green Coly (The fluoro is too expensive to remove lol)
  6. It's my go-to bait for when I bring someone new fishing with me. The senko was how I got my gf hooked on fishing.
  7. Thanks for clearing it up for me guys.
  8. I've placed 1 drop of Shimano Bantam Oil on each bearing and they now all spin for about 3 seconds quietly. I am confused.
  9. I don't eat at Taco bell because it makes me want to poo. Seriously, every single time!
  10. I had the Pflueger President for 3 seasons with an issue so I went out and bought a Supreme this year when I saw it on sale. Can't wait to use it. Great spinning reels for the money.
  11. I finally got my reels back. I had the stock bearings in my Curado and Citica replaced with the ABEC 7s I had bought. When I received my stock bearings, I decided to clean them myself. Soaked them in Acetone twice and spun them dry. They would all spin nicely. After they've air dried, only 2 of the 4 bearings would spin nicely, 1 of them spins nicely as well, but has a lot of noise to it and the last 1 doesn't spin at all (maybe for like 2 seconds). What should I do with them? Clean them again or toss them? I'm also not sure which are the good ones.
  12. This is my favourite line and I have yet to hear a bad review on it. I know that the McCoy braid, fluoro and clear isn't the greatest from what I heard, but the Mean Green is the bomb! I still have one spool that I've been using for 3 seasons now and I don't see a reason why I need to change it. There is virtually no memory at all. All I have to do is make a few casts and it goes back to limp. This line is just strong. If you try it, you will not be disappointed I guarantee for a mono line. Most of the members here prefer P-Line CXX because it's super strong and impossible to break, but you'll need KVD L&L to manage it. I wish more would try the McCoy Mean Green and give me their comparison on the two.
  13. In many cases, I would agree with this..don't skimp on line.. I guess this is the case. I'll stick with the Power Pro for now. Thanks!
  14. I was looking to see if I could find a cheap spool of Power Pro to pick up and came across this link. I tried to do some research on it and the only thing I could find is that it's made differently and could fray the guides. Anyone used or can tell me more about it from looking at the link? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400184466029&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Try to search this brand, there seems to be plenty of links for it.
  15. When I clicked on the initial link, I though it was one of the ugly reel and probably something cheaply made. I was shocked to see it was $300! Then I realized it was made by Daiwa, but still shocked to see $300 considering how boring it looked. I agree the gold Cabela logo on the spool didn't help either.
  16. I burn through so many senkos, but I won't give them up. They catch me most of my fish.
  17. Thanks a lot. My season is definitely over due to the weather, but I'll keep this in mind for next year. Great pics.
  18. 1. *** Baby Brush Bug (Green Pumpkin) 2. 4" Yama Senko (Black/Blue Flk) 3. Zoom Finesse Worm (Green Pumpkin)
  19. +1 Can you give me some tips on how to work the bait? I can't catch a bass when the water gets cold and living up in Canada makes my season too short.
  20. Other people! 1. Parents who don't watch their children who come too close to me and get in the way. 2. People who yell and scream around me. 3. People who throw things into the lake like rocks. 4. Boats that don't respect others while on the water.

  23. My first was a Mister Twister Grub on a plain lead jig head. Caught some huge bass and pike on it.
  24. I have a question about the deep spool if anyone can help answer. Do you use any backing for lighter line, eg. 6lb? If you do, can I use 10lb backing into 6lb? Also, how does it handle heavier line such as 10lb? Braid? I would like to know before I start spooling.
