dock etiquette
If there is someone on it or if there are kids swimming, then just move on. If they are chilling on the lawn... it might not be such a good idea to fish the docks unless they are further away. Take the moment to analyze the situation.

Fall fishing just isn't happening for me...
You can also try a lipless crankbait fished on the bottom, again as other mentioned, slowest retrieve possible.

Snaps, or tie direct?
I think I've found my solution. Thanks a lot.

Eco Pro weights.
I was about to put my order from this site which is $3.50 a pack until 3/4 oz and it's more expensive. http://soldier.heritagewebdesign.com/~trejason/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6&products_id=17 I'm waiting for them to restock some sizes. It's $2.99 shipping... free for a purchase over $30 I think.

Anyone like the taste of Bluegill?
They taste good, but cleaning them is a pain! If I had a to choose, I would just keep a few bass, crappie, or walleye for eating. I usually don't take fish home though. I agree that Tilapia is great.

Snaps, or tie direct?
I've always tied directly to the factory split ring, but sometimes a Palomar knot is annoying because of the treble hooks. I was wondering if it's okay to tie this snap to the split ring without having to remove it first. Does it work and what issues are there by doing this?

Full or Split grip?
I'm on the same boat as others who say that they can't get used to split grip. I've bought a few and I just don't like it. I like my rods with a full grip + fore grip. I'll admit those split grip rods do look pretty cool.

Video of the Japanese angler skipping with a baitcaster?
I watched that part a few times and he seemed to have lost his balanced after the hook set. Current was pretty strong and he was trying very hard to keep a tight line ;D.

Video of the Japanese angler skipping with a baitcaster?
That first 10 seconds was pretty sick... I can't even do that with rocks.

BPS Customer Service = A+!
I have mixed feelings about BPS up here in Ontario. It's usually a hit and miss for me. It all depends on who you approach for help. All I can say is if they help, their service is A+, but there are way too many employees who know absolutely nothing = hard time explaining and getting what you came for.

Which do you think a bass prefers?
I voted for crawfish as well. I've been told that crawfish have a lot of nutritional value and bass love them. I believe it because a craw is much easier to catch than a shad or baitfish.

Soft plastic colors
I usually only fish 2 colours for soft plastics. Either Green Pumpkin or Black/blue flake. They are my favourite colours. Watermelon and junebug seem to be a big favourite as well.

lucky me!
When I was growing up watching Bassmasters, KVD was my favourite angler because he was the up and comer who was hot on the circuit. I'm glad after all these years and the success hes had, the guy is still the coolest. KVD is the man!

Ever wonder if fishing is not your thing?
Whether you catch fish or not, you should be happy just being able to get out on the lake. To me, it's the most beautiful view in the world. That's why I love to fish with my dad sometimes... we use live bait and I could just sit and relax, enjoy the sun the time we spend together. Catching fish is a bonus. My profile picture tells it all... it's not a picture of me holding a bass (probably would be if I had a 6 pounder up here in Canada ;D). Nonetheless, enjoy it!

Mend It! Glue
I am about to pick up a bottle off eBay, but I have a few questions before I do. Lets say I rip my senko where I place my hook a wacky rig, if I mend it back together, can I place the hook again where it ripped? Also is this the new packaging? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300370266347&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Okuma Reflexions vs Fenwick Eagle GT?
x2 x3 I've never used a Reflexion, but I did use a GT for 2 years and it was a decent rod for the price. I googled the Reflexion and it looks like a sweet rod. For $30, I would jump on it too. Got nothing to lose.

Anybody into Techno/Dance/Dubstep/Hardstyle?
I was a huge fan of Cosmic Gate, DJ Tiesto and Paul Oakenfold before they became mainstream then I stopped listening all together. Usually when a DJ goes mainstream, it's never the same again, they just wing everything they produce.

Predictable early fall slowdown. Help!
For the past few weeks, I've had very limited success in catching bass out of a pond. It seems like they have completed shut off as well. The baits that do catch me a few on each outings are a Zoom finesse worm and a 1/8oz single colorado spinnerbait, but all I am catching are dinks under 12". Seems like the bigger bass over 2 pounds have moved into deeper water where I cannot access on shore. I've also noticed the water been much clearer as well.
