I have both rods and although I haven't used the Vendetta yet because of the weather, I do like the Crucial better from just the feel of it. My opinion could be biased because I do like full grip cork rods, but seriously here... we are comparing 2 rods that are almost $100 apart. If you really want performance, I guess take everyone's word for it and buy the Crucial, but I would like to add that the Vendetta has very few bad reviews and is a heck of a deal for a $80 rod. You can use the extra money to get other things too. Up to you and how tight money is. Being a student, I look for best value at the lower end of things.

I fish a lot of weedy lakes up here in Southern Ontario so I like to use a double willow spinnerbait, but when I fish lakes that has rocks, stumps, laydowns, hard bottom, etc, I really like the throw the crankbait. I love cranks even though I don't catch much on them.

Are you serious? I had my eyes set on the Tierra after playing with it at BPS. That reel for $140 CAD was smoother than anything else that had there. I didn't get a chance to try the CI4, but now I'm interested how this reels feels like.

Sell them to someone for a cheap price. Others might need it or donate it.

I personally don't like it as much either. I don't feel like it needs the extra bling. The last bait in the batch is awesome...

Honestly, you should get a Revo S and put it on a MH Vendetta rod for all your heavier baits like spinnerbaits, jigs, t-rigs, some swimbaits, etc... I bought a Vendetta too and I'm looking for a Revo S right now. Then get a Citica E and pair it up with M rated rod, which ever you choose that goes nicely with the Citica. There are plenty of $100 price mark rods such as Shimano Compre's, Quantum Engergy PT, St. Croix Mojo, etc. This set up will cover your lighter baits such as shakey head, drop shot, weightless t-rigs, wacky, live bait and should be okay for shallow crankbaits too. These 2 set ups should be around your budget give or take and will do nicely for you. Give these 2 a try. Also keep checking the Flea Market because a lot of good stuff at discounted price shows up often.

I bought 2 rods that have a rough cork. There seems to be small pieces that stick out from the handle. How do I make the cork part smoother? Do I use sandpaper and if so which one. Also is there a correct way of rubbing it?

Yep. That is not right. Sure... you can save all the hassle, but if it was really a defected rod then you are in titled to a replacement. It's not about the $50.

I keep forgetting I have one too. Haha... got it when I was 17 I believe. It's been a while. I was thinking of doing it all the way down my back, but kept it off for so long that it's kind of pointless to do it now.

I used to play quite a bit a year or 2 ago, but not so much anymore. The games are a lot tougher and poker isn't as fun as it used to be for me. I will play occasionally when I am bored, but pretty much it. I prefer live games now because it's just more fun when you can interact with people or friends if it's a home game. Nothing wrong with liking online games.

Can someone answer these questions from the Shimano link? Thanks a lot. 1) "Clean and oil VBS® Brake Case and spool bearing." How do you oil the brake case? Do I put a drop inside? 2) For the spool bearing, do I put a drop in the hole or put a drop on the bearing so it enters the metal balls? Picture looks like it's going in the hole. 3) "Lightly oil Super Free support bearing and drive shaft bearing." Do put a drop in the little hole and a drop outside of the gold thing? BTW, I see this on my Curado, but don't see it on my Citica 200E. Does it matter?

I am currently fishing Mono for everything right now. I have used braid in the past, but had some issues with it. I'll give braid and fluoro a try this again this season. I am happy with my McCoy Mean Green line. Strong, never EVER has any memory even when left and forgotten on reels, green coloured which I like, thin diameter and best of all, decent priced like most mono lines. I can't compare sensitivity because I don't fish anything else being happy with that I have now.

I have one in RC 1.5, but haven't thrown it yet. I wonder if it's a shad colour or a craw colour.

I don't fish enough to tell whether MegaStrike makes a difference, but I usually apply it to my soft plastics. It's a confidence booster for me and I like it. I just can't seem to fish without it, if anything MegaStrike is a good thing.

Great job on these baits, a lot of people on here are starting to paint out some awesome baits. Maybe I should save some of my used bait so they can get repaints.

If he's such a stud, call and ask him to stop dodging Pacquiao. He's talented, a talented loud mouth... Agree he's talented and all, but he is scared of Pac because Pac is is his biggest threat to beat him. He's not a true warrior, just some guy who wants to pick his fights, stay undefeated and make less money, but EASIER money. It's all mind games right now, sure, this fight can generate a big chunk of money, but Floyd can have a couple of easier fights and make the same amount and still stay undefeated and top dog. If he loses to Pac, it can all change.

From what I have read and heard, Pacquiao gets weak and nauseated after he gives blood and he's not a big needle fan to begin with. He surely doesnt want to step in the ring feeling sick and weak in the biggest fight of his life. Pacquiao has agreed to other testing and even blood testing right after the fight is over, just not right before.....but that wasnt good enough for Mayweather. Translation: Mayweather is scared. I had never seen anything about that. Seems all ESPN shows is that Mayweather wants testing and Pacquiao refuses to. I definitely think Mayweather knows he'll get beat if they fight anytime this spring. Probably ever. Five is correct. Pac said he'll do a blood test immediately after the fight was done, but Mayweather refused. They wanted him to do it before the fight. What a joke they are. This ain't going to happen because Mayweather doesn't want to lose. It's simple as that. I heard the fight was canceled as well. Not 100% sure. Boxing sucks, really, when have they given us the fight that we TRULY want to see?
