  1. Thanks. I do have all Fenwick rods at home including my new 7' MH HMG and I absolutely love it already although I haven't taken it out yet this year. It feels so nice in my hands. I wouldn't mind sticking with the Fenwick line, just have to look up that rod too now. ;D
  2. Nice, I built up a great list of rods that I'm going to play around with at BPS and my local shops. I still have my Elite Tech for deeper cranks so I'm looking for a shallower rod.
  3. Have you tested them and do they run true?
  4. The same rods thats been sitting there for 4 years. Nice...!!
  5. BigRickRolled, I heard you say that on another thread. I know the BPS is probably a great rod, but I don't know why I'm just hesitant to get it. Although I can lose due to the price, on the back of my mind, I will always want something better. Now the struggle begins for me
  6. OMG, thank you for uploading for pictures. I loved looking at those pictures. The lake again is absolutely beautiful. What hooks where you using and how did u fish the bait?
  7. The Curado are much much more smoother than the Citica in my opinion. It just feels different.
  8. Indeed, really nice place to fish.
  9. I have heard a lot of good things about the new line up of Quantum reels. I guess they have really done it with this new 09 line up.
  10. They are made from the same TC4 blanks and the only difference I think between the 2 are just the guides. So get the Compre would be better for your money. If you throw lighter cranks, get the M and MH for heavier cranks. I would think if you fished 4-14 feet, you can get away with the M, but I'll let someone with experience with the rod tell you that. I heard the rod tip is a bit stiffer so I would think M should be fine.
  11. Yep. Last one is a Bandit.
  12. That is one pretty looking lake. Great pictures Burley.
  13. I guess I'll have to do a bit of shopping before I make a purchase. Hopefully BPS can order me the Compre.
  14. WOW is right. That is a beautiful fish!!!
  15. I am not a junkie. I tend to get excited when I make purchases and when I get it. I usually just toss it to the side. There are a few items that I always take out and look at (eg. my spro little johns and lc pointers). Other than that, I do take care of my stuff, but I'm not even close to being a junkie.
  16. The MD is already on the market. The MD is not a deep diver....at least not in my book I assume we will see a DD version soon. I wonder how the bait will look like and what changes they will make to the current ones.
  17. I love this crankbait. It's my favourite out of all. I bought it because of the funny looking eyes. I thought it was cute, but it ended up being better than I expected. If you enjoy throwing crankbaits, this bait is a must in the tackle box.
  18. I rarely get out to a lake that is full of smallmouths. Usually they are in a multi species lake, but when I do get the chance. I like watermelon for soft plastics and crawfish colours for crankbaits. A white spinnerbait is also a killer colour for me in stained water.
  19. For Trilene 100%, do you prefer Clear or Green?
  20. I love these type of posts. Telling a story about the conditions, a bit of scene captures and a bass at the end. ;D
  21. How is the sensitivity on the BPS Crankin' Stick?
  22. No kidding. Chris, you need to write a book. X2 please write a book about fishing crankbaits and I will definitely get a copy!
  23. I've been looking for a crankbait rod for the longest time and when I finally decided to buy the Compre crankbait casting, but Bass Pro only carries the 6.6 MH which is retarded >. How can you not carry a 6.6-7 M? I can't find this rod anywhere and buying it online does not justify the price because then I can get the Crucial crankbait rod locally, but that is out of my budget. I have a Curado 200DPV and need to pair it up with a rod which I can feel the sensitivity of my wiggles. I want to know what's going on with them. I am casting mostly lighter crankbaits such as 1/4oz Bandits, 3/8oz Fat Free Guppy'ss and maybe the occasional 1/2oz Fat Free Shad. Currently, I'm using a fenwick elite tech carbon/fibreglass rod for all cranks and I can't feel a thing under 1/2oz crankbaits. So.. if you have any experiences with these following rods, can I get some detail information. I can't afford to buy the wrong rod or I'll be stuck with it as selling a rod in Canada is impossible. 1) BPS Crankin' Stick 2) Shimano Clarus - 7' M, Medium Fast Action 3) St. Croix Premier if BPS carries it
