  1. i watched for a good hour. I liked when that ed guy stopped talking and let Mike answer the questions seriously..........but those times were far and few. Needless to say, I stopped watching, very dissapointed
  2. February 28 - March 16TH
  3. um......I think you are referring to the Bassmaster Classic.................not the BPS classic
  4. I love this event. I go every year. I dont always have a huge budget to blow, but it's still fun to go and take in all the activities. Good times
  5. I, as well as many others, look forward to this event every year. As of right now, we are 18 days away from it!! Has anyone received their flyer in the mail yet which shows all the sales that will be going on? Anything worth mentioning?
  6. my lure that is normally ever used is anywhere from 1/4 - 3/8oz. I highly doubt that would cause the grinding feel. I could be wrong but I don't believe I am. also, just to clarify, when I mentioned "under load", I meant nothing more than my lure on the line.
  7. I'm hoping that a number of people that have used this reel can tell me their thoughts on it. Recently, I have owned an Abu Garcia 502albi and came to notice that when the reel is under load, it grinds, almost feels like a grinder (if you will). After reading all the reviews on the Orra S, the grinding seems to be hit or miss.with users. More people saying that they dont experience the grinding. Has anyone ever experienced this grinding with the Orra S? http://www.basspro.com/Abu-Garcia-Orra-S-Spinning-Reel/product/10215339/
  8. I get that but I am contemplating selling my Shimano Crucial, which lists at $150 NEW. This rod is 3 years old and I wouldnt think I could get any more than $75 for it. If I add, $20 for shipping in to the cost, I'm at $100. You can buy NEW for $50 more. Not seeing how it would help me. to me it seems it would hurt me more, especially when I am trying to turn the funds around for something else. so thats what brought this up.........trying to figure costs and what not.
  9. selling local it is then!!!! im not liking the shipping charges. thanks for the info guys.
  10. thank you much. i heard that it costs quite a bit for shipping a rod. so you lose 25-30 right off the bat in the total cost you hope to pocket. hmmmmmmmm
  11. ya but once you put it in the tube, do you then put that in a box?
  12. WHEN IT COMES TO SELLING OR TRADING A ROD, HOW DO YOU GUYS PACKAGE IT UP SO IT DOES NOT GET DAMAGED WHILE BEING SHIPPED? ESPECIALLY THE ONE PIECE RODS THAT ARE 6' AND LONGER
  13. I did not receive any fishing gear but the wife and I took that money we were going to spend on things we didn't need and bought a more modern TV to replace the rear projection tv. We bought an LG 55" LED tv.
  14. what exactly does this list consist of?
  15. that's kinda why i called them man muffs, not ear muffs. man muffs sound.......well, .......manlier
  16. if all else fails, these man muffs go on sale for $5 on black friday. I could always try another pair and hope for the best. i could also look for a comfy pair of buds to go in my ear, although im not a fan of them.....we'll see
  17. I saw the BPS black friday ad for this year and in regards to fishing sales........there was only a couple things.........more hunting than anything........
  18. after my headphones died on me, i did try the earbud route then placed the ear muffs over top. i found the buds to be very uncomfortable. didn't care for putting things in my ears. prefer the over the ear route thanks for the response!
  19. Last year I bought some earmuffs that have built in headphones. (man muffs) I got them from JC Pennys. The brand is escaping me at the moment. I mainly use them for walking downtown to work in the winter. About 4 months of use, the speakers crapped out on me. So I need to replace them. I'd like to not get the same ones again in fear of them turning to crap on me. As a matter of fact, here they are: http://www.jcpenney.com/men/sale/headphone-ear-warmers/prod.jump?ppId=pp5002120882&searchTerm=earmuffs&dimCombo=null&dimComboVal=null&catId=SearchResults Can anyone recommend a good set of earmuffs that have the head phones built in to them? I am not sure how much I'd like to spend but I don't want cheap quality.........
  20. i was out fishing with another member "The Rooster" yesterday and he was using a black crank. He pulled in the bigger of the fish him and I caught. He used the black bandit crank........ Did black have anything to do with it? who knows...... I was using white on my catches......
  21. I hear a lot of people say to throw this or that in black or white. whether it be plastics, spinner baits, etc. Why do they not make a number of BLACK crankbaits? I notice Bandit has one and some of the crappie lures are in black. are bass crankbaits not very effective in the black color?
  22. I caught wind of this a number of months back, just wasnt sure if it was going to happen or not.......Guess you answered that. i live on the east side of cincinnati so it may be the same distance. rather than cutting through tri county, i just head north on 75. how far on 75 will it be?
  23. i agree, thats what i live by here at home. when people wanna go fishing, the first thing i say is "get a license". i havent done this act, but was just getting others thought on it
  24. let's paint a picture..... let's say, you travel a lot for work (outise the state you reside) and some of the locations you go have a body of water pretty close by. If you go on this trip and want to wet a line for an hour or so, would you without a fishing license? knowing that you will most likely not be fishing for more than an hour from the shore in the lake/river/stream, would you fuss with getting a license or do you just go and hope for the best of not getting stopped?
