  1. I think he has huge head coach potential, but I hate the fact that his first opportunity is with a struggling 49ers group. At this point, I think he's doing a great job. As Bass-Brat mentioned, he must keep his pants on.
  2. Now, I'm getting snow...in Louisiana!!! From what the in-laws said, this is the first time it's snowed in any volume in almost 20 years. Similarly to Houston, we're supposed to be in the upper-60's this weekend. And I moved from Tennessee because of the weather.

I'm really sorry to hear that, grimlin. I hope you find something better in the very near future.
  4. Muddy, it looks like Minaya heard you. He's interested in... RESIGNING PEDRO MARTINEZ?!?!?!? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  5. My wife and the Bait Monkey work together. ;D I'm VERY lucky.
  6. Plaxico would be a better fit with the Bengals or the Cowboys. I think players are required to have legal issues there.
  7. The Angels brought him in several times with two outs and a runner on first. He "earned" a save because the tying run was in the on-deck circle. : I remember when people were mentioning him as a possible MVP candidate, but he wasn't even the best reliever in the AL. If I'm not mistaken, Rivera was MUCH better. This may be worth a read. If you look, there's several more articles like it. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8919700/K-Rod-will-have-to-step-up-his-game-in-the-NL-East I'm only saying I hope it's worth the Mets' money. They certainly needed a closer.
  8. I'm not sure how that'll pan out for the Mets. The Angels padded K-Rod's stats. He's losing some velocity, and some of the advanced reliever stats are heading south. ...but, we'll see.
  9. Congrats on the new PB. She's a beauty!
  10. I think they're all overrated. No MySpace or Facebook here. I'm not very social. My wife, however, is a little more social. She's even got members of my family who I haven't spoken to in years and she's only met once as friends. :-?
  11. I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to ALL school work. Research papers, presentations, exams...I hate them all equally. After each near miss, I reassure myself that I'll start working a little sooner...but then, I realize how much of my time that takes. ;D
  12. Muddy, do you know if they're planning on adding a wine selection to compliment their cheese line?
  13. Some say he was fired, others say he resigned. Interesting situation...I'm eager to see the coaching musical chairs begin between the college and pro ranks. There are lots of opportunities out there. Hopefully, LSU will find an assistant a little more defensively minded.
  14. One of my instructors works at a refinery. He said that a barrel of oil yields 42 gallons of gas. Add 45% - 55% for taxes and other mark-ups and you come pretty close to what a gallon of gas costs at the pump.
  15. Great job with the jigs! I, too, am working on improving my jig fishing...but I'm not as good as you are...yet!
  16. Wow, slomoe. That's crazy.

As others have said, you know where she's at. Just give it a little time and get back after her. You'll land her next time.
  18. Taking care of the problem sounds difficult. We're talking about REAL pirates...not Capt. Jack Sparrow. It's just another head-scratcher. I agree. Why not take care of the pirates? Solve the problem.
  19. Exactly. They're responsible for the financial position of their companies. They must eliminate unnecessary costs. Returning 2 of the 7 jets doesn't show much of an effort on their part.
  20. Very few people realize the addiction potential of prescription drugs. The body becomes physically dependent much quicker than we (as patients) think.
  21. Now, that was money well spent... :
  22. Thanks, everyone. The only thing I don't like about college football is the season doesn't last long enough...and USC. : ;D Geaux Tigers!! I haven't gotten into saltwater fishing...yet. I'm really trying to keep my hobby under control. I'll enjoy the fishing, but I'd prefer to keep the hurricanes at a distance. Gustav came as close as I'd like.
  23. Hello, everyone. I'm a transplant from Tennessee. My wife and I moved a little over a year ago to be a little closer to her family. I've catfished since I was young, but it took a trip to Natchez, MS last November to remind me of how much I enjoy fishing. A few rods and reels, a tackle box full of lures, and a boat later...I think I have a problem - I work too much! My wife and I have fished only at Natchez State Park and Lake Okhissa in Mississippi, but we look forward to fishing many more bodies of water in the future. I am eager to learn from all of you.
