BAD PRO FOOTBALL
Let me ask you this since you're a Cards fan. Do you think Leinart would have been better than the "QB's" they currently have? I'm curious how Cards fans feel about cutting Leinart now. Leinert wasn't working here at any time. I don't think he would have been any better. Bringing in wash outs from other teams isn't the answer either. A trade for a decent QB or a draft is our best bet I think. Of course we could always end up with another Leinert in a draft choice! I think grooming and playing Max Hall would be the best for now to see if he really has any potential as our franchise QB.

striped bass tips please
Anything that looks like shad. Whites and silvers are good choices. 4" Storm Wild Eye Swim Shad, Silver spoons, White chenille jigs, Silver Zera Spooks. Try things along those lines.

BAD PRO FOOTBALL
Absolutely right 5basslimit, Remember the Steelers after Bradshaw left? Underpass wasn't just on the highway! We have that same problem here now. Underpass, overpass, just no complete pass!

who's still flying?
I'm taking what I truly hope to be my last flight over new year's to see my mom. If I could afford to close my business and spend 3 days driving each way and still visit with her for 4 days, I would. I used to love flying. Started flying as a kid in @ 1960 on turbo prop Boeing Constellations. Always looked forward to flying. I served in the U.S.A.F. Now I dread it. Next, the moslems will insert a bomb up their rectum and detonate it on board a plane, then tell the world how they got away with it. Then everyone will have to undergo a cavity search to get on a plane! Remember, you heard it here first!

BAD PRO FOOTBALL
I don't know. Every other team seems to be improving or at least trying to be competative as the season progresses, but the Cardinals just get worse and worse. I see a first round draft pick coming to Phoenix!

Tubes?
Try breaking an Alka-Seltzer in half and inserting it in the tube. The fizzing noise and bubbles are a plus.

Nice start!
Interesting reel seat/rod handle. Something of your own making? Never seen a fly rod reel seat like that before. OK, I just saw your post under ultralight fishing. I understand now.

ultra light gear for trout
I'm with NateFollmer, I don't fish for trout, but I do fish with a fly rod for sunfish, crappie, bass, and stripers. Anytime I would use an ultralite, I'm using my fly rod.

Fly Rod for LM, Smallmouth etc
Good advice stasher1. Also, you can go up or down one weight of fly line for the rod rating. I use 6 weight line on my 7 weight rod. I could get more casting distance going the other way, but I like to fish for crappie and sunfish as well with small flies and I only have the one fly rig, so it has to be able to do it all for me. I take this fly setup as well as baitcast rigs in medium, medium-heavy, and heavy, and spinning rigs in light, medium-light, and medium on my fishing trips.

Cowboys Won
Yeah, unfortunately I guess you can't lose them all.

Fly Rod for LM, Smallmouth etc
I use a 7 weight rod for largemouth, stripers, and sunfish. This rod handles both small flies or small poppers, foam beetles, and clouser minnows. A great all around weight rod.

Top water
I use a Berkley snap. I get better action with the snap than direct tie.

Could Pittsburgh go all the way????
This game will be replayed later as the AFC championship game.

Best Bluegill lures?
I'm slaying them with this tactic. Buy some frozen squid and cut off a section of the head with two tentacles and hook it so the tentacles trail in the water. Incredible action and they are so tough the gills can't steal them off the hook. I catch sunfish for flathead cat bait and I can load up my live well with one squid head!

why aliens don't exist
didn't Carl Sagan say that? or was it Jodie Foster Daffy Duck.

why aliens don't exist
And intelligent life doesn't need to be human or even carbon based. Life could evolve under very different circumstances than happened here.

How is Bass fishing out of a multi spec boat?
My boat is a 1977 Glastron Sportster tri-hull, set up with bow mount trolling motor and much more than I care to go into right now. I fish for bass, stripers, and channel/flathead catfish. I find this boat quite comfortable for my needs with 4 tactical rod holders for catfishing mounted on all 4 corners. I don't have any problem lipping bass over the sides, and I can navigate in water depths to 2.5 feet.
