  1. A Boar's Head brand pepperoni.
  2. Not necessarily. The back seat can cast at the same targets as the front seat, but at different angles as the boat passes those targets, so a fish may be holding on the opposite side of the target that the front seat misses.
  3. I think I will mount a M-60 next to the trolling motor and learn to say "say hello to my little friends" in Spanish. I always have at least 3 guns on board. In my tacklebox I keep a .22 revolver loaded with snakeshot. In my boat bag is my designated boat gun, M1911 .45. Then I have whatever concealed weapon I happen to be carrying that day, usually S&M 9mm or S&M .44 mag.
  4. My problem with the AA cell powered stern LED light is it is SO bright. The old bulb light was much dimmer. The LED is almost blinding.
  5. I wouldn't tow anything heavier than an aluminum 14' utility boat without a proper hitch.
  6. My boat is an old (1977) Glastron Sportster (16') with an even older (1967) Evinrude 80hp. With my partner and all our gear my top speed is 35 mph running with river current or a tail wind. My solo speed with fishing gear is 40 mph.
  7. At the first incident of violence on our lakes here, I'll be adding my 12ga. to my boating arsenal.
  8. I always have at least 3 guns on board. In my tackle box I keep a .22 revolver loaded with snakeshot. In my boat bag I keep my boat gun; a M1911 .45. Then I have whatever concealed weapon I happen to be carrying at the time, usually either my S&W 9mm or my S&W .44 Mag.
  9. Straight retrieve or slow rolling. I use them in shad and baby bass color. I also like to use Storm Wild Eye Bluegill.
  10. I agree. I successfully use both these baits regularly.
  11. I use a weighted Eagle Claw offset hook and Carolina or Texas rig the tube. I also sometimes put 1/2 of an Alkaseltzer tablet in the tube to make a trail of fizzing bubbles trailing the bait.
  12. That species of shark could not have survived that far inland from salt water on it's own. It must have been dumped. Bulls are the only ones that can survive indefinately in fresh water, and they frequently swim hundreds of miles inland up rivers.
  13. I use them with some regularity, primarily for flathead cats. Hook them through the foreward part of the mouth. I go through both jaws, then add a keeper to prevent the hook from enlarging the hole enough for the waterdog to slip off the hook. I make my keepers by punching out pieces of a plastic coffee can lid with a paper punch, then drill a tiny hole in the punchout.
  14. I like the Everstart Maxx from Wal-Mart. @ $75.
  15. A squid head. I buy frozen squid at asian supermarkets.
  16. I go to Carolina rigs and jigs, slow presentations.
  17. I always see lots of bats, especially at dusk, here on Arizona lakes when fishing overnight. I'm not seeing any more than usual.
  18. Here in Arizona bluegill and carp are legal bait on certain waters. Where I fish they are legal and I use them for flathead cat bait.
  19. Lowe's sells cool camo caps with built in LED lights in the bill. Excellent for night fishing. Storage for my plastics is done with a large ring 3 ring notebook binder with plastic transparent sleeve inserts that fit the rings ( I get mine at staples). I keep the baits in their original packages and insert the packages in the sleeves. Easy to find what I want.
  20. I like to use a piece of styrofoam broken off of a cheap styrofoam cooler for my carolina rigs.
  21. I definately consider the life vest fishing equipment. Anyone fishing on my boat WILL wear one , at least while the big motor is running. If you don't want to wear it, find another ride!
