Kids fish anymore?
Well little Sarah caught a bluegill about 1 pound and now she's really wanting to go fishing again.

baitcaster or spinning.
Physics is going to favor the spinning as the line is coiling off the reel by itself. With baitcasting, no matter how smooth the bearings are, there is still friction with the spinning spool on those bearings, and that creates drag.

It's Just a Catfish!
Obviously a whale shark. Plankton eater, harmless unless you get hit by the tale as it swims.

Striper Rig
I'm happy with my Penn 209 on a medium heavy Rhino Kevlar rod. This is fishing for reservoir stripers here in Arizona.

Goodbye, Jack Bauer
I think 24 has been going down hill for the last 3 seasons. I also think Liam Neeson in "Taken" , leaving a steady stream of bodies in his wake, makes the recent Jack Bauer look like a first year cub scout.

Marine Radio/Weather Radio?
I have VHF radio in my boat and I'd never be without it. My buddy has one on his boat too, and we can communicate with each other anywhere on the lake. Also, I've broken down a couple times on the water and hailed Vessel Assist on emergency channel 16. They were there within 15 minutes each time to tow me back to the ramp. I also have BoatU.S. unlimited towing so the tow was free. I have a basic radio and 4 foot antenna, cost total for each was @ $100. A cell phone is all but worthless on our canyon lakes here in Arizona.

Help! Building a deck on open bow ski boat
You want stainless steel piano hinge. Lowe's or Home Depot should have it. If not, call a metal supply company.

Clip-on polarized sunglasses
Wow! I love mine! I have the aviators because they fit over my prescription glasses. I also have prescription polarized sunglasses with gray lenses and use them for everyday use but far prefer the Cocoons for fishing.

Clip-on polarized sunglasses
Go to their website. They also sell frames in tortoise shell and you can order copper color lenses directly from them This is the combination I have. Copper lenses cut water surface glare best followed by amber then gray. The tortoise frames and copper lenses are available only directly from Cocoons, not through outside vendors.

Weirdest Thing You've Ever Hooked?
Wow, are you ever lucky to still have all your digits. Those softshells are vicious suckers and their neck is long enough to reach all the way to the end of their tails. Their jaws are like razors!!!

rain and catfish
I think this is true of all species. I'll shoreline fish in the rain, but don't like being on my boat in the rain.

Clip-on polarized sunglasses
Cocoons make clip-ons. I use Cocoons Aviators that fit over my glasses and wrap around the sides giving me total UV protection.

Weirdest Thing You've Ever Hooked?
Caught a seagull in mid air casting a Mirro Lure. Fought it down from the sky. That was one PO"D bird, a real bear to unhook!!!

Everybody should have a set of these !!!
I've had a similar tool made by Snap On for 25 years that I used when I was tying rebar on construction sites. Never thought about keeping them in the boat until now. Thanks.

Battery Question
I've had great results with Everstart Maxx Marine from Wal-Mart. I have two on my boat; one dedicated to starting, the other for trolling motor, radio, submersible lights, etc. My batteries are connected to a selectable battery switch . Battery 1/ both/ off. I start and run the boat on both to charge them, then switch to battery 1 for trolling and fishing. That way battery 2 is always fully charged for starting the motor.

Yum money hound.
I've been considering these baits also but haven't seen any favorable (or unfavorable for that mater) reviews yet, so at least for now I'm sticking with Zera Spooks.
