  1. Just drink more beer, and keep praying for open water. At least, that's what I do. Yesterday I brought my son out on a lake that I have a group of buddies who have a couple bobhouses on. I saw more bass than anything else. I happen to know the lake well, and the holes that gave up the most bass, were those along secondary drops, like in 12' water. My buddy with one of the average specimens from yesterday. He got a 5lb LM last week outta that same hole.
  2. Mmmm. Bass fishing. I wonder what that's like.
  3. Congrats to Denver. Clearly the better team today. It's gonna be a good Superbowl.
  4. I hear what you're saying, llPa1nll, and I'm jiggy with that. They are nice folks in there. However, when it comes to sheer selection, the big boys can't be beat. I am all about supporting local business, though, whenever possible.
  5. 20' I'd be on more like 3/4oz. If there's any wind at all, go with the heavier weight. Oh, and yeah, use foam noodles for your canoe.
  6. You mean Sunday with the 35mph winds? No thanks. Monday woulda been the day to be out there.
  7. He was actually saying the opposite, there Nev. I'm actually moving into BPS.
  8. That's a punk move, for sure. Don't worry, though, the Niners are gonna crush 'em anyway. See ya at the Superbowl! Go Pats!
  9. My favorite is the Lobster if you only want craw baits, but I flip creatures more often, like a Space Monkey or Hawg.
  10. Sounds like a dream I had once.
  11. That makes sense, Jitterbug. Good plan.
  12. This IS a great place, and I'm glad to be part of it. Some of the friendships I've made here, are priceless. Thanks, Glenn, the mods, the sponsors, and the members, for making this place what it is, a great place to hang out, learn, and share. Happy New Year to all of the Bassresource family.
  13. I say use the right gear for the job, and get a Heavy action casting rod for swimbaits that size. That's just me, though. I've always been a right tool for the job kinda guy. I'm sure you could at least try it out with that surf casting gear.
  14. Seibert Big O Brush Jig/ Rage Tail Lobster
  15. Haha. Yeah, those thorny, tough trees that are everywhere, are called rotomma (sp?) Toughest plant on the planet, and a line and bait killer! Anyway, yeah, all braid for me (65lb) for flippin'.
  16. That's fantastic! Merry Christmas!
  17. Another Cumara/Tournament Pro combo. This one, a 7'2" MH and spooled with 20lb flouro to fill the gap between the heavier 7'4"setup with 25lb, and the 7' with 17lb.
  18. My attitude just sucks in the snow and freezing temps.
  19. Hmm. Anybody else notice we got a couple flurries last night? About 15" worth of flurries! Time to break out the snow machines, boys. Man, I hate the Winter!
  20. I cannot stand it when people mishandle fish. laying it in the dirt, holding it wrong, too long out of the water, etc, etc. Some people don't care, and others just don't know any better, so I do my part to help the ones that don't know any better, but it's the other jerk offs that make my blood boil.
