  1. I have caught plenty of fish on both the Original Chatterbait, and the Pure Poison. I have always used trailers on both, and it's always been a Baby Craw or Craw. The new Rage Blade, is an improvement to both. It deflects off stuff like lay downs and such, like a shallow-running squarebill (much better than the other two), with all the action! Once people get to try out this one, it'll be the new favorite in the bunch. There are times, where that action cannot be beat, and I plan on keeping it in my bag of tricks forever.
  2. Haha. Yeah, buddy! My one and only trailer! I promise, you will see your fish getting bigger! No joke!
  3. And there you have it, my friends. And what were you catching the fish on there, buddy?
  4. That's what I do, too, but use a 5lb weight. I plan on upgrading to a Boga by Spring. Best scales you can buy, from what I've heard.
  5. I love the Big O Brush Jig. Fish 'em a lot. I just hooked the biggest bass I've ever seen in my life on one with a Lobster on it last week. It's not exactly just for brush, either. It does real well in the rocks.
  6. I got 3, Big O got 7, including the 12 and 13 I posted above. We only fished jigs/Craw or Lobster, and Tx rigged Lobsters and Recons. Plenty of 6-8 pounders, and a few 9's as well.
  7. couple pics to get us through this cold crap.
  8. Never downsize baits, just fish slower, and adjust weight sizes according to depth, wind, etc. I fish the same Lobsters and 10" worms I fish in 40 degree water, and in 80 degree water.
  9. You boys and girls enjoy your cold front. I'm outta here to go chase some big heads in South Texas with Big O. Talk to ya'll later (in about 11 days)!
  10. Haha. Yeah, I do. And Pleasant is on my fav list right now, even though I don't know it that good yet.
  11. Very nice! That's what I'm talkin' about! What was on the back of that jig?
  12. There was a brand new Shimano Cumara in the flea market section here, and someone also had some Lew's Tournament Pro's for sale. If you pair those together, you are in for a treat. I have that combo times three now, and impossible to beat at that price point, if you ask me. Retail on those two, would be over your budget, though, so you'll have to shop it.
  13. Safe travels, fellas.
  14. How would they NOT work on our bass here?
  15. I have also personally seen bass hide as I troll along. Two times this past spring alone. For the last 3 years, I have been paying much more attention to my approach with the boat, both position and the noise factor from the motor. I have greatly improved catch rates, and size of fish caught. Coincidence? I don't know, but I consider the approach as important as what I am throwing in the water, whether it's 7 feet, or 27 feet.
  16. As long as he also has some 1oz Seibert Big O Brush Jigs and Lobsters, he'll be all set.
  17. 10-4, good buddy! Beautiful fish. You using a Tilapia swimbait?
  18. Whoa! That smallie is the prettiest fish I've seen in a long time! Nice job, man!
  19. SK 1.5 KVD bluegill square bill. The one that other dude is lookin' for. I don't use cranks much, but that one does it every time I do throw it.
  20. Nice start, Mainebass. I knew yesterday was going to be tougher than people thought. Today, even tougher, but I'm heading out into the eye of the storm with my buddy DeakNH, see if we can't wake up a couple big heads.
  21. Bring questions about our area to the thread entitled "Anyone have any luck in Southern NH", in the Northeast fishing section. There's plenty of good, regional information in there that should get you started. Oh, and we are definitely on LATE Fall patterns right now up here. Even Winter bite-ish, really. PM sent
