  1. Exactly. I can't even count the number of fish I've caught on a jig while they were feeding on bait fish like perch, bluegill, and baby bass. Lot's of good choices of baits to match up with a jig when you want a mid-water presentation. A jig and Craw is just the tip of the iceburg.
  2. 1/4 oz is usually perfect. Sometimes a 3/8 for 20 foot or so water.
  3. The Scrounger w/ Rage Craw catches fish like a BOSS! I just put this combo together for my wife, and that's exactly what I rigged up for her. She might just smoke me with that setup.
  4. I'm pretty sure you'll love a Citica, but either one is fine. I've never owned a PQ, but I've owned the whole line of Shimanos, and from my experience, they are very well built, comfortable, user friendly, and fish great.
  5. Congrats on that beauty! Anybody would be happy to catch that fish anywhere in the country, bud, nice fish!
  6. I ALWAYS use a trailer, and that trailer is ALWAYS a Rage Tail. Craws and Lobsters for more water movement, Baby Craws, Grubs, and Menaces for less.
  7. Absolutely. Hockey, baseball, karate, four wheeling, mobile audio, and shooting. I only have one hobby now, and I'm all in.
  8. Nice, je1946. That's what I'm talkin' about! Wait. Did you say Cobbetts? Let's go, D, let's do this!
  9. Yup, hotspot that sucker!
  10. Great start to the year! Congrats!
  11. Hey, there's a good idea. What do ya say for the next couple weeks, we have a little open water reporting. As you see 'em ice free, let us all know. I'll be out doing some scouting this weekend.
  12. Welcome!
  13. They both have a time and a place. Braid sucks in the rocks, and flouro sucks in the timber. Mono just sucks altogether.
  14. You were probably not doing anything wrong with your Tx rigs, but it sounds like you were not in front of the fish. It's still pretty cold, and the fish might not be up shallow yet.
  15. Yeah, for pike, you wanna be out there now.
  16. That is a pretty good summary right there. Everyone I know who fishes for them, says it's a blast, and they fight hard. I've fished the Potomac, but never caught one myself. Couple years ago in a tourny I was taking part in, a guy brought in a 15 pounder! Thing was nasty!
  17. Yes it is, Jitterbug! I was on the water yesterday, and it was sweeeeet! No fish, though. Went to Turtle to try out the new depthfinder on the jon boat and have a couple beers with my buddy. Didn't fish much at all, but it sure felt good!
  18. I've never fished the Nashua, but it's on my list. I know a guy that caught an 8 1/2 outta there.
  19. Big O fishes with those guys (with one of them diving and filming) to try out new prototypes in the research and develope stage, to see things like fall rate, and the action of the baits actually in the water. This allows him to tweak the baits just right, in order to put out the best baits he can.
  20. Dragging, hopping, yo-yo, stroking, and swimming all have a time and a place. Really, it's up to the fish at any given moment to determine how you want to retrieve that jig.
  21. Great show! Kim and Danny Stricker are a couple of really nice guys.
  22. That's cool, Klubba. Stay on 'em!
