  1. CLR, yeah, I've been out there, and no I wouldn't say smallies are taking over, really, but they're in there. Depends on how and where you fish. When I go there, I target the Largemouths, because I know for a fact, there are at least a few monster largies in there, but that's just me. Catching the smallies isn't really a bad consolation prize, especially since I've got 'em up to 4 pounds there.
  2. C'mon, man, it's all pleasure boaters, all the time, especially on the weekends on that lake. Oh, and not to mention the 5000 fishing boats out there at any given time. Good luck! I do have a friend who has launched out of Lee's a couple times, and has caught numbers up into the 70's, but no size.
  3. Very tough to get to, and yes, we were on fish all day, playing with the new Rage baits for 15 hours. Nothing over 4lbs, most were 2's.
  4. Thank you very much, je1946! Heading out now.
  5. Nash Nev, That doesn't help. Already been there. I need directions from someone who knoes exactly how to get there, because Google Earth doesn't match up.
  6. Ok, guys, I need a little help. I need detailed directions on how to get to the launch at Clement Pond (Lake JoSylvia) in Contoocook. Fishing there tomorrow, and nothing makes sense. Please help if you can. Thanks!
  7. Yeah, that sounds 'bout right. Good luck!
  8. All smallies. Throw tubes and drop shots. You'll find a place to wet a line. Watch your depths, because alot of spots there are 40 feet deep, just a few feet from shore.
  9. This thing is insane! Rig one on a 5/0 1/4 oz keel-weighted hook, but rigged on the side. They swim incredible, then fall slow and horizontal, and the bass can't take too much of that. This bait blows the doors off of any "similar" baits currently on the market.
  10. All the new baits are killer, but the one I've used the most so far, is the Menace. I've rigged it and caught fish with it in every possible way imaginable. It is a pretty nasty jig trailer rigged both ways, and deadly rigged naked on a 4/0 hook.
  11. I use a lot of Lizards and Eels, too, but yeah, I've caught plenty on a c-rigged Craw and Lobster. I drop shot a Baby Craw all the time, and slay em with it, especially smallies.
  12. I'm on it, man. Just trying to get a free day to do it. I'm looking forward to one of those 50 smallie days on Winni. I'll let you know when I can get up there, and maybe we can get together and get on 'em.
  13. Fantastic! I agree, killer jigs.
  14. We did alright, even though I didn't catch my first fish unti 11:00. It was a 3lber followed by a 3.65 15 minutes later. Took me another hour to find keeper #3 (4 fish limit tourny), then lost 'em after that. My partner never found his groove, and we were out of the money, but still enjoyed the lake. I'll go back, but preferrably on a no-wind day. That place is like a wind tunnel!
  15. I hate Hot Hole, and just fished the Merrimack Yesterday. It was pretty good, even though the water is like 3' low. Caught about 10 smallies in the 1 3/4-2 lb range.
  16. 12' has been about where the smallies are liking for the better part of the day, nhbassin. Football jigs, for sure, and drop shots where you find small schooling baitfish.
  17. You got a couple descent spots there, and you'll catch a few from shore at those places. If I can make it out on a weekday, I'll pm you, and see if you wanna get out. Good luck, man. See you around.
  18. Hey, Eddie, yeah, that was me, and it's great to meet you. We'll have to get out and rip some lips sometime.
  19. I'm some what of a Turkey Pond expert. I've spent hundreds of hours at that place. I hate the launch, and the parking makes it even harder when it's busy. The fishing there can be very tough, and it can be crazy good. I probably have over 30 5lb+ fish outta there, and actually caught a pickerel bigger than the state record on file. There are a couple problems, though. Milfoil, and floating logs. I've replaced 4 props because of that place. The milfoil makes it a challenge, too, but there's ways around that, like topwater, or punching heavy tungsten. You should definitely fish it and form your own opinions, but I'm sure you'll like it.
  20. Thanks, bud, and you're absolutely right. I was thinking trying up shallow first anyway, and if that doesn't work, then the drop shot will in some of the channel drops.
  21. Yeah it does, and thanks. I figured they would have wrapped up the spawn a while ago, so thats interesting.
  22. Never been there. Is it primarily Largemouth or smallmouth?
